Chapter 772

After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities

Chapter 772

Would her reputation be destroyed.

She didn't want it, she really didn't.

She was going to become a top pianist. She couldn't be Master

Keturah's student, but Mrs. Ritter had contacted Mr. Guzman, a famous

music professor at Berklee School of Music abroad, and asked him to

take her as his apprentice.

Internationally speaking, the top pianists were Louis first and then

Master Keturah and Mr. Guzman.

Mr. Guzman was just as famous as Master Keturah but the latter was

more than ten years younger.

Mr. Guzman was also very picky about taking on apprentices and did

not easily accept them.

It took Mrs. Ritter a lot of money and connections to convince Mr.

Guzman to accept her as his apprentice.

All she had to do now was win the Graley Piano Competition so that Mr.

Guzman would announce that he would take her on as an apprentice

and send out another press release...

Then she would definitely have a place in the international piano world.

“If that old lady could come forward and testify that you didn't bully or

humiliate her, there might still be some hope for this situation,”

Donovan said irritably. "You're really causing me trouble with this.

What's the point of messing around with an old lady? You've turned it

into such a mess."

"But... where can we find that old lady?" Ashlyn pouted in frustration.

She'd had enough of this nonsense. As the daughter of the Ritter

family, she couldn't even argue with an old woman like this?

People like that weren't even worth talking to.

“I saw on Twitter earlier that there wasn't actually any footage of the old

lady's face? It seemed like it had been blurred out?" Mrs. Ritter

frowned. "I'll look into it again.”

Sure enough, the video showed only blurred images where the old

woman's face should have been, but Ashlyn's face was crystal clear.

Mrs. Ritter got angrier every time she watched it.

“I never thought Cody would go so far. He even managed to dig up

footage like this."

Suddenly, Ashlyn remembered what Franklin had said earlier. "Can

they not dig up anything? That mall belongs to Maskelyne Group."

"Forget about it. Since they dared attack you, don't blame me for being

impolite,” Donovan slammed his hand down on table angrily.

"Do they think my family is easy prey? They're ruining my daughter's

reputation. Those bumpkins from small places like Larro dare challenge

my family?"

“Donovan, do you have any good ideas?" Mrs. Ritter quickly turned to

her husband. "Our daughter is being criticized all over the internet. We

need to come up with a good whitewashing method and marketing

plan, especially now that the Graley Piano Competition is about to start.

We can't make any mistakes, our daughter has to win first place this

year."

The Graley Piano Competition was unlike any other small competition.

It was not only the largest music competition internationally but also

covered all music awards, whether it be piano, violin, songwriting or

even singing and popular music and folk... all kinds of things related to

music were selected.

The Graley Piano Competition was held every two years for a week

with various competitions held in different venues.

Audiences who came to watch the competition were mostly music

lovers or musicians from around the world.

The final award ceremony was always packed every time it was held.

If Ashlyn could win first place in the piano competition project at such

an internationally significant event like this one then she would become

famous worldwide.

Mrs. Ritter couldn't let anyone ruin Ashlyn's career.

Now public opinion in the country regarding Ashlyn’s popularity and

reputation among ordinary people was extremely unfavorable.

She trembled with anger.

"Cody, Franklin, Sylvia! They're just too much.”

"Honey, don't worry yet. Let me think of something,” Donovan said with

a gloomy face. "Isn't it just an old lady? The old lady whose face has

been blurred out; ha-ha, that old lady doesn't even know them

personally, so why don't we do this..."

He whispered something into Mrs. Ritter's ear.

Mrs. Ritter couldn't help but nod her head repeatedly saying, "not bad",

before finally agreeing on what they would do next day morning..

Cody's condition had improved enough for him to be discharged from

hospital after Brayden completed his discharge procedures. Some

Urgford bigwigs heard he was going home so they rushed over asking

about his health status .

This made the Wright family feel grateful but they refused all gifts

because these gifts were too expensive.

Mrs. Wright didn't want people talking behind their backs about Cody.

After leaving hospital, the car drove smoothly towards government

offices without incident.

The President had allocated them a set of houses in the courtyard,

small Western-style buildings with two floors. The houses were mostly

identical, although they were slightly larger than the one they had in

Larro. Everything was much better equipped here in Urgford.

The small building was clean and tidy, with a living room and kitchen on

the first floor and a master bedroom. The second floor had three

bedrooms and a study.

All the houses in the courtyard were decorated uniformly, from furniture

to style. There was hardly any difference except for some smaller ones

tucked away in corners.

Brayden and Jenna lived upstairs while Mrs. Wright and Cody lived

downstairs. After unpacking their luggage separately, Mrs. Wright went

to prepare some food in the kitchen.

She opened up what she thought would be an empty fridge only to find

it full of fresh vegetables and meat! She was surprised when she heard

someone pushing open the door at that moment.

Mrs. Wright walked towards the living room where she saw a middle-

aged woman carrying daily necessities into their house. "Mrs. Wright,

you're back.” The middle-aged woman smiled sweetly, “I'm Lexie, your

housekeeper; every household has one here."

"I see." Mrs. Wright quickly laughed as she realized that Lexie must

have prepared all these ingredients for them. Urgford's courtyard is

different; even housekeepers are provided by none other than our

President himself!

"That's great!" "What would you like for lunch today?" asked Lexie as

she entered into their kitchen wearing an apron around her waist.

Mrs. Wright replied,"Anything will do; we aren't picky eaters. There are

four people living here now, so let's just treat each other like family.”

Feeling happy inside, Mrs. Wright went upstairs.

Brayden was helping Jenna tidy up her room. "Jenna, I've hung all your

clothes neatly inside your closet."

“Thank you!" Jenna smiled sweetly. She loved how this new room

wasn't just pink everywhere like it used to be back at Larro.

Mrs. Wright made sure everything matched her favorite color which is

pink.

Nowadays, the walls are white, and furniture is beige. It looks

refreshing. The best part about this new place is having its own

bathroom!

She walked towards the bathroom with a smile on her face, but

somehow, whether it was because of her carelessness or something

else, as soon as she opened the bathroom door, she slipped and fell to

the ground.

"Ah!"

She screamed and a long arm caught her waist. The next second, her

body spun violently and she was brought into a broad embrace.

Her nose hit his hard chest with a bang. It hurt so much that even the

tip of her nose turned red. "Ouch!"

"What happened? Jenna? What's going on?" Mrs. Wright had just

arrived at the door when she heard her goddaughter's scream from

inside. She quickly pushed open the door and saw... her son embracing

her goddaughter.

She was startled and embarrassed at once by this scene in front of her.

Unexpectedly, Mrs. Wright suddenly barged in; Brayden quickly let go

while Jenna blushed slightly. She glanced quickly at his handsome face

close by before looking back at Mrs. Wright sheepishly: "Godmother, I

almost fell down accidentally.”

"Oh my goodness! I understand! I understand!" Mrs. Wright laughed

heartily with an air of satisfaction: "It's okay; you young people are like

this.”

This laughter is too infectious.

"Mom, it's not what you think," Brayden explained hastily.

“You're such an irresponsible man! You've already hugged each other;

what else could there be?" Mrs. Wright glared at him before saying:

"Jenna can be with you because it's your good fortune from your past

life."

"Hurry up and tidy up your room for dinner!"

Mrs. Wright finished speaking then turned around to leave.

Jenna stood there stunned for quite some time before muttering softly:

"Brayden... what should we do? Godmother seems to have

misunderstood.”

"Who said she misunderstood?"

Brayden looked at the girl who had such an adorable expression like a

cute little orange cat.

He suddenly reached out again to hold her in his arms tightly while

locking onto those deep eyes that were fixed on Jenna's small face.

Jenna blushed bright red as if hot air kept surging upwards within

herself causing heart palpitations.

"Jenna, we..." Brayden hadn't finished speaking yet when his phone

suddenly rang.

He picked up Jasper's call. "Hello."

"Master Brayden, you need to take a look at Twitter right away. The

Ritter family is nothing but clowns.” Jasper's voice came over urgently.

Brayden felt frustrated, as he had been planning to confess his

feelings, but then he heard something related to the Ritter family. He

didn't care about anything else and hung up the phone before going on

Twitter.

"What's wrong?" Jenna craned her neck to look at his phone.

She saw a video of an unfamiliar old lady speaking into the camera.

She was the same old lady who had clashed with Ashlyn in the

supermarket that day, and everything was just a misunderstanding.

Ashlyn hadn't insulted or bullied her in any way. In short, Ashlyn was a

good girl and it was all just a misunderstanding.

There were many comments under this video online, almost all saying

that Ashlyn is a good girl. Anyone with discerning eyes could see that

they were fake comments made by paid trolls - it was too obvious!
