“Are you going home later?” Feng Jing started the car slowly.

“Mm, my brother asked me to go back and try on a gown. Tomorrow is Brother Lin Jia’s grandfather’s birthday banquet.” Yin Tao nodded.

“Are you staying at home tonight?” Feng Jing asked.

Yin Tao shook her head. “I’d better go back to the dormitory. The test results for Yang Ying will be out soon. I’m going to the autopsy lab to take a look tonight.”

“Then I’ll send you home to try on the gown, and take you straight back to the police station after you are done.” Feng Jing didn’t wait for Yin Tao to agree before changing the navigation address to the Yin villa.

Yin Tao didn’t decline Feng Jing’s good intentions. If she were to take a car back and forth, it would take a long time. They quickly arrived at the destination, but Feng Jing didn’t get out of the car. He watched as Yin Tao quickly ran home and slowly lowered his seat.

Upon entering the villa, Yin Tao saw Yin Ning sitting on the sofa in the living room.

“The study on the second floor.” Zhao Yue felt jinxed the second she laid eyes on Yin Tao. She didn’t know why she would rather stay out at the police station than come home.

Yin Tao ignored Zhao Yue and Yin Ning and headed straight for the study on the second floor.

“Mom, is Sister going to attend Grandpa Lin’s birthday banquet too?” Yin Ning asked worriedly as she watched Yin Tao go upstairs.

“Why would she be going? She is not presentable at all!” Zhao Yue frowned. She felt that Yin Tao had become a little strange, and her personality wasn’t like before. She had become much quieter, and even she felt that she was a stranger now.

“Why don’t you bring Sister along? There should be many boys from good families at Grandpa Lin’s birthday banquet. I hope Sister can get married before me.”
