Chapter 329
Spoiled (Lily)
Chapter 329 Old Mrs Crawford Lied to Get Money At the dining table, Lilly was happily eating her noodles. There was a bowl right next to hers, and it was for her mother. She still split half of her noodle into her bowl. She gave Blake the bowl when he walked in, saying, âDaddy, have some noodles, please!â
He was about to eat the noodle, but he saw that Lillyâs check was dirty. He wiped her cheek with a tissue. Edward was staring at his hand, and Blake was about to pass some food to Lilly, but suddenly he went out to make a phone call. After a while, he came back to peel the eggshell for Lilly.
Ha! Why arenât you eating? Your hands must be shaking, so you donât dare to eat! Stop finding excuses!
Finally, Blake started to eat. And his hands were totally steady as he ate.
I⦠Impossible! This isnât real! Why arenât his hands shakinge were trembling like sh*t back then!
1 Edward felt defeated; he could see how much Blake was ahead of him in doing push-ups. And he still felt humiliated after being put down by him. âIâm done eating!â He slammed his bowl on the table and wanted. to leave. Iâm so furious! I canât eat anymore! I would rather at instant noodles than eat with him at the same table.
Bettany snorted, âSit down!â Edward pulled out his chair and sat down instantly. And he picked up the fork and bowl fluently. She continued to say. âIs my cooking not suitable for you?â Hmph, he just simply flipped the food with a fork and slammed the bowl without even taking one bite. Iâve never seen a thirty-
year-old man as rebellious as him!
Edward hurriedly replied, âNo, no, I love it! Itâs delicious!â
Bettany asked, âThen why did you slam the bowl?â
He stuttered, âIâ¦Iâ¦â He would not admit that he felt defeated by Blake, and he could not come up with any excuse at the moment. Lilly said innocently, âUncle Edward must be taunted.â
He nodded and replied, âYes, Iâ¦â Wait⦠taunted?
Josh exposed him by saying, âUncle Edward must be jealous of how strong Uncle Blake is; he must be feeling frustrated now.â
Hannah shook her head and said, âItâs okay to be weak Uncle Edward, Iâm always cooperative when my Daddy is beating me up.â
Lilly agreed by saying, âSo, Uncle Edward, are you easily jealous of others?â
He was speechless. Wow, this is not looking good for me. He ate his breakfast in silence. Bettany said, âHow old are you? Why are you still so childish?â She continued to say, âWhy are you trying to compete against Blake? Maybe you can beat him in another sport.â
Hannah said, âUncle Blake would be winning no matter what!â
Josh said, âUncle Edward, why are you always losing?â
Blake said with a smile, âLetâs eat now.â All the children happily ate their food.
Zachary suddenly said, âHuh? Uncle Blake finished two thousand push-ups in forty minutes?â
Bettany was worried, as she knew that Zachary fell from the balcony when he was a toddler. She was worried that his brain might be damaged because he had such a slow reaction now. She decided to bring him in for a checkup.
After breakfast, Lilly took a nap until it was lunch time. Bettany decided to include more dishes for lunch. without telling Lilly. She was not aware that Lilly woke up until she heard some cracking noise upstairs.
Lilly tipped her toe, and she held a screwdriver, trying to break open the door lock. And she somehow managed to do it. âWow, the screwdriver is marvelous! Polly was excited, and it started to sing while it heard Lillyâs words. The two of them were having a great time singing. Bettany saw the two of them.
singing happily when she came upstairs; Polly was resting on Lillyâs shoulder while she held a screwdriver in her hand. Lilly had actually broken not one but a few door locks; some of the door handlers were detached too. She was mastering the skill of breaking the doors open. Bettany shouted angrily, âLilly⦠Crawford!â
She was having the time of her life, yet she was almost scared to death when she heard Bettanyâs voice. She had not been this scared, even when she saw the spirits. She carefully turned around to look at Bettany, and she broke into the brightest smile ever. âGanny!â She ran toward her to hug her tightly; she wanted to restrain her hands. Daddy told me that Granny can break bricks with her bare hands; sheâs so scary!
Bettany could not break free; she looked down and saw Lilly smile innocently at her. She was frustrated and funny at the same time. She asked, âWhat are you doing?â
She answered innocently, âGranny, Iâm unlocking the doors.â
Bettany tried to hold herself and asked calmly, âWho taught you about this?â âWho taught you this?â
She tried to avoid eye contact, and she said pitifully, âGranny, can I pay for the damages? Iâve got some pocket money to pay the debt.â
Bettany almost could not hold her composure. She wants to pay for the damages. She canât even pay for it with ten times her current pocket money.
Bettany said strictly, âOkay, give it to me now!â Lilly pitifully took her bag and fumbled for her pocket money. She had been saving it up for so long, and she was not willing to spend it. Bettany took her pocket money, which was in an envelope, and said, âItâs not enough; youâve damaged three doors.â
Lilly painstakingly took out another two envelopes. Bettany shook her head and said, âOne door lock costs. ten thousand dollars. All of these are only enough for the replacement of one door lock.â
Lilly was dumbstruck.
