Chapter 922
Spoiled (Lily)
âArghââ
Uriah let out a scream of agony!
Pablo had somehow made an opening in his neck, and was ripping the skin slowly off his face!
Uriah hurled the bell in his hand at Pablo, pressing it firmly against Pabloâs body!
Yet the next second, Pablo gripped the bell in his hand!
Pablo took the bell away without breaking a sweat, studying it carefully.
âYou killed me, but youâre trying to ward me off with my own creation.â Pablo smirked. âUriah, didnât you want to outshine me? What, you couldnât even make your own bell, still using the one I gave to you?â
âYou really⦠you really do disgust me.â
Pabloâs gaze darkened, and the bell in his hands turned to dust ast once!
Uriah was trembling from head to toe. This bell was a national treasure, and the only people in the kingdom who had one were him and the emperor⦠but now Pablo had just crushed it so easily!
What⦠what had he turned intoâ¦!
Before Uriah could have a second thought, he was flung into the air!
Thumpâ
A shelf was knocked to the floor, the vase on it shattering as well.
The sage powder in the vase was emptied all over the floor.
Sage was useful in warding off evil spirits. Uriah grabbed a handful of it, throwing it in front of him!
Uriah seemed to have lost his mind, flailing about as he hurled handful after handful of sage powder into the air as he shrieked his head off.
âDie⦠youâre going to die!â
âIâll kill you, Iâll kill you!â
The sage powder turned red as it hit the air, like the bloody fog that had come out of Nanaâs head when it was chopped off.
The house fell silent, and the pale figure disappeared all of a sudden.
Uriahâs chest heaved heavily. His eyes were wide as he looked in front of him. Sure enough, Pablo was nowhere to be seen.
He let out a sigh of relief, before the burning pain from his face got to him. He got to his feet trembling, taking a look at his face in the mirrorâ¦
All that could be seen was that half his face had been torn off, dripping with blood. The other half was not much better off at all, covered in terrifying gashes.
âArghâ¦â
Uriahâs fingers trembled, but he did not dare to touch himself. The pain was so overwhelming that he nearly fainted.
âDoes it really hurt that bad?â Pabloâs voice rang next to Uriahâs ear.
Uriahâs chest lurched as he widened his eyes.
In the mirror, Pablo leaned forward right next to him. âNana was in a lot more pain when you chopped her head off. Reuben was in a lot more pain when you drove that sword through his chestâ¦â
âPablo⦠you, youâ¦â Uriah found that he could not speak.
Pablo chuckled. âYou want to know why Iâm not dead, donât you?â
âBit of a stupid question, no?â
âHow was I going to enter your house if Iâd just died so easily?â
There were twelve spirit beasts guarding the various doors of the Phillips household. There was a guard amulet on every door as well, as well as one buried by every flight of stairsâ¦
Despite all of that, he had made it here. Would it make sense for Pablo to be afraid of a little sage powder?
Pablo raised his hands slowly, this time pressing them on Uriahâs skull!
âUriah Phillips. Do you know what the past ten years have been like for me? I spend every waking hour thinking of wringing your head from your shoulders!â
He stared at Uriah in the mirror. âBut now I think I donât want to do that anymoreâ¦â
Uriah was trembling from head to toe. âYes, yes, Pablo. Weâre brothers, you canât do that to meâ¦â
Pablo barked out a laugh. âYouâve gotten it wrong. I meant, Iâd be going easy on you if I just did that in one go.â
âSo I guess Iâll just go a little at a time!â
Just as the words rang through the air, Uriah felt a coolness on his head. In the mirror, Pablo had opened the top of his head!
Uriah was scared out of his wits, letting out an agonized cry.
He could even see his brain moving in the mirror!
Pabloâs hands were covered in blood, but he made a shushing gesture. âDonât panic, donât panic. Iâm here to promise you⦠you wonât die.â
Uriahâs cries woke some people up. A white-haired man who could barely stand up straight hobbled his way over.
Only for such a tragic sight to greet him!
It was bad enough that Uriahâs face was covered in blood, but the top of his head was missing! Pablo was next to him, holding a pale-looking thing with sticky black hair on top of itâ¦
That was the top of Uriahâs skull!
Everyone was scared out of their wits, stumbling backwards. Old Mr. Phillips nearly stopped breathing at the sight, only returning to his senses after a while.
âP⦠Pablo Belmont!â Master Phillipsâ expression was one of pure shock. âHow did youâ¦â
Pablo raised the top of Uriahâs head in his hands, beaming at it. âHow did I come back, right?â
âWhat do you think, my dear mentor? Howâd you think Iâd come back!â
Pablo stared the elder in front of him down.
Master Philips paused for a while, before saying sharply, âPablo, youâve already died. You have no place here, youâre causing trouble in humankind! Leave, right now!â
âAs your master, I donât want to make a big deal out of this!â
His expression was ashen, thinking that he would be able to threaten Pablo as his master just like beforeâ¦
