Chapter 924
Spoiled (Lily)
Uriah, on his last breath, gasped. âPablo⦠he⦠heâs your master!â Youâ¦â
How could he take down his own master?
Uriah was at a loss for words from the shockâ but it wasnât like he had any strength to speak either way.
He felt a sense of dread!
He had thought that Pablo might at the very least let them go out of old timesâ sake, but everything that had just happened had proven completely otherwise.
Pabloâs expression was cold as he smirked. âMaster?â
âYou shouldnât have killed my family, then! Now Iâve turned into a malignant spirit, and Iâm not going to let you go. You deserve this.â
As he spoke, a young man came running over shouting. This was Uriahâs oldest son.
âDad! Grandpa!â
Pablo turned around slowlyâ¦
Uriah and Master Phillips widened their eyes. âNo⦠Donâtââ
The boy, who could not have been more than eight or nine years old, stared at his chest in a daze.
Uriah could speak no longer, his eyes filled with rage and fear.
Master Phillipsâ sobs had turned into howls. âPablo⦠Pablo! How could you be so cruel! Heâs just a childâ¦â
How could he be so evil?
How could he have had the heart to do such a thing to a kid?
Pabloâs eyes grew bloodshot as his malignant energy flowed out of his body at once.
His grin glinted with murderous intent, and he said in a low voice, âCruel?â
Uriah struggled as he opened his eyes. For some reason, Pablo had found a way to make it impossible for him to die even if he wanted to.
All he could do was watch as his beloved oldest son die before his eyes.
He roared with all his might, but his voice came out feeble and weak. âHeâs just⦠child!â
âYouâre⦠a monster⦠Pablo Belmont!â
A monster?
âDid you feel like a monster killing Nana and Reuben, huh?â
Pablo raised his hands. The thickest branches of cherry tree in the backyard flew out of the ground, chagrin towards Uriah and Master Phillips before stabbing them square in the stomach!
The splintered branches drove into their flesh, swaying slightly in the wind.
Uriah and Master Phillips let out cries of agony, wanting nothing more than to be killed on the spot.
âPablo, just⦠just kill me!â Uriah was trembling with pain. âKill me if you can!â
He knew that he was going to be a dead man for sure today.
Yet Pablo refused to let that happen just yet. âWhatâs the rush? Iâve got more, you know?â
He held Uriah and his father by the branch pierced through them, walking through the Phillips household just like that.
The birthday lanterns were still brightly shining, the walls covered with birthday decorations.
Yet there was a man clad in white robes roaming the hallways, holding the Phillips father and son by a branch through their stomachs and leaving a trail of blood in his wake!
The malignant spirit had come for revenge!
Everyone was going to suffer, regardless of age!
In no time, the Phillips household turned into hell on earth.
âHelp⦠help!â
âPlease, let me go, let me goâ¦â
âDonât kill my son, please, no, no noââ
Uriahâs wives were terrified, running for their lives with their children in towâ but not a single one of them was able to escape.
âPablo⦠Pablo! Please stop, donâtâ¦â Uriah sobbed. âLet my son go! Heâs only three years oldâ¦â
âPablo, please, please, Bertie was just born yesterday! He doesnât know anything, heâs innocent!
Please let him go, Pabloâ!â
âNoâ!â
The babyâs brightly-colored quilt was lifted over his face, and he quickly stopped crying.
Master Phillips burst into sobs. âPablo, how could you do this? Are you even human?â
âPablo, you wonât live this down!â
Pablo himself, was expressionless.
At the last backyard.
Where Uriahâs first wife, Sylvia lived!
Pabloâs white robes were completely untouched in the bloodbath, but he looked terrifying.
Only one lady was not afraid in the slightest. She sat by her bed, dressed neatly with her hair done up.
âPablo, you came back!â Sylvia smiled at him. âItâs been ten years, but youâre still as handsome as ever.â
She stared at Pablo dreamily, as if she could not see the hand he had raised and the arrow coming her way.
âI just want you to know, I never let you down.â
âI put poison in Uriahâs wine the first time I married him. He canât have procreate.â
Pablo was expressionless, the arrow slowly going into Sylviaâs chest.
She, however, was smiling brighter than ever. âUriah couldnât procreate, but had a whole family of kids.
I did a good job, didnât I?â
âHis wives had to give birth to keep their position in the family. Iâd given birth myself, what was their excuse?â
âTo keep from being kicked out by me, they did whatever they could to give birth⦠and so, not a single one of Uriahâs children is his own.â
Sylvia collapsed slowly, a satisfied smile on her face. âI canât believe I was able to see you one last time. Iâm happy.â
Uriah could hardly believe what he was hearing.
Not his children?
He had loved these children for so many years, giving them his allâ¦
Only for them to not turn out to be his?
Uriah felt his world crumbling, his mind shaking even more.
The most painful part of all this was not even that these children werenât his, but that his most beloved woman had betrayed him for a whole decade!
Terror, hopelessness, betrayal, fury⦠Uriah was feeling everything Pablo had felt back then.
This made him thoroughly lose it!
He stared at Pablo with bloodshot eyes as he howled, âYou⦠itâs all your fault! You did this to me, you ruined everything! You took my happiness away from me!â
Pablo opened his eyes, finally sparing Uriah and snapping his neck.
Crack!
Without a second to hesitate, Uriah was killed when he was at his very angriest.
Master Phillipsâ gaze widened in shock and grief. âUriahâ¦!â
Pablo raised his hand. The spear on the wall, a gift from the emperor, lifted up and pierced through Master Phillipsâ chestâ
The Phillips household fell silent at last.
There was not a single sound that could be heard throughout the house. The people at Pabloâs feet had terrified expressions on their faces, their eyes widenedâ¦
All at once, a sense of hollowness washed over Pablo.
Revenge⦠he had gotten revenge at last.
But what was he going to do after that?
There truly was nowhere for him to go in this world.
He missed his parents and siblings with all his heart. If they had been reborn after dying, he might still be able to use all his energy to find themâ¦
But there was no chance of that happening.
As he thought about this, an even greater pain overtook him!
âHave you finished your revenge?â A woman dressed in black and red robes appeared out of nowhere, floating in front of Pablo.
Her face was fair, but not paleâ just different from that of a human being.
She sighed, looking around her.
There were, after all, some survivors.
The baby in the cradle had not died, leaving behind a chance at survival.
The remaining children had had an arrow through them, but there was still hope for them to survive.
Those who were supposed to die were all gone with no survivors, having died in a terrifying state as wellâ¦
The woman shook her head. âCome underground with me.â
Pablo blinked, his expression numb. âWho are youâ¦â
âIâm the Ruler of Hell.â
âThe Ruler of Hell? Well, why⦠what did I do wrong for this to happen to me?â Pablo looked at the Ruler of Hell, his eyes reddened.
She looked back at him, her gaze sympathetic. âTragedy does not strike, just because of one person.â
Pablo was silent.
He followed behind the Ruler of Hell, watching her take care of everyoneâs souls. Then, she said:
âIâll give you a chance to judge them yourself.â
âThere isnât a judge in the mortal realm, but there is in the underworld. Iâll give you three thousand years, and maybe youâll understand whyâ¦â
