"Damn she's cute!"

"What school is she from?"

"Do you think she'll give me her number?"

Whispers filled the waiting room as Jaewon and Yeonjun stepped inside, both wearing their outfits and feeling ready to perform.

Jaewon had cut and dyed her hair ( image above ) last night as they had managed to find a good salon and so far, everyone seemed to love it.

Jaewon looked so gorgeous in her short brown hair. Her features were more obvious and she looked more mature and sophisticated.

She was so beautiful, even Jisoo's jaw dropped when she saw her.

"Right, are you ready?" Yeonjun asked, turning around to face his partner who took a deep breath and nodded.

"Are you?" she asked, grinning a little.

"Nope." he chuckled and shook his head.

"Yeonjun and Jaewon?" a man with a clipboard and black shirt asked, looking around.

"Over here!" Yeonjun said, raising his hand.

The man quickly came over and scanned the clipboard he was holding.

"You're going third so be ready when I call." he informed them

They both nodded and the man set off to kfind someone else.

"Jaewon?"

Turning around, the said girl saw Beomgyu walking towards her beside Jisoo who was still staring at her in wonder.

"Y...You cut your hair?" he nodded at her head and she nodded.

"You look b..beautiful." he stuttered, blushing brightly.

Yeonjun scowled.

"Babe let's go! We're going first remember?" Jisoo said, looking at him after his compliment towards the girl.

"R..Right. Well, good luck." Beomgyu tried saying but was dragged away by Jisoo.

"Okay we can do this." Yeonjun said, completely ignoring what just happened and facing Jaewon.

"Yes yes, we can." she breathed out nervously.

Noticing how the girl looked scared, Yeonjun gently held onto her shoulders and forced her to look up.

Their eyes met, not for the first time and both blushed.

"You'll do great." Yeonjun said, meaning it with all his heart.

Jaewon's heart sped up, the way it usually did whenever she looked at Yeonjun. It was frantically pounding against her chest, as if trying to tell her something. Her whole body was starting to feel warm and she could tell her face was becoming redder by the second.

and at that moment, Jaewon didn't even remember who Beomgyu was.

"S..so will you." she replied, genuinely smiling but once again feeling nervousness bubble up inside her, this time for a different reason.

"Jisoo and Beomgyu, you're up!" another staff member announced and the said two people went out.

"Here, we can watch through the T.V screen there." Yeonjun said and led her towards the centre of the waiting room.

All the constants were gathered around the T.V, all nervous as they were about to perform in front of a lot of people.

The crowd outside cheered when Jisoo and Beomgyu stepped onto stage and few people flinched at the noise.

Slowly, the lights dimmed and music started to play.

Beomgyu seemed to be an experienced dancer although Jisoo looked a little uncomfortable. They both danced with each other and were able to move around the stage, causing the audience to cheer a little.

"Ok we should move around as much as possible too." Yeonjun noted, looking serious.

Jaewon glanced at him, startled by her own mind when she thought he looked hot.

"O..Okay." she stuttered and looked at the T.V again.

Beomgyu's and Jisoo's performance finally came to an end and the people in the waiting room politely clapped.

"Although your performance was good, it was clear not a lot of practice was put into it. You both don't show enough chemistry with each other and so the performance didn't fully reach the requirement of a 'couple dance'." the judge spoke and both people respectfully nodded from the stage although Jisoo did look a little pissed.

"You both are great dancers, I look forward to seeing your improvements." the judge concluded.

Bowing, Jisoo and Beomgyu walked off stage and ran into the waiting room where multiple people congratulated them and told them they did a good job.

"Jenni and Junwoo, you're up!" someone announced.

The second group from a school in Daegu shared a nervous look and then went out of the waiting room. The crowd cheered as they went on stage.

"Jaewon and Yeonjun, you guys are next. Please follow me." The man with the black shirt said, showing up next to them.

He was still carrying his clipboard.

Nodding, Jaewon and Yeonjun followed him, both feeling even more nervous than before as they neared the stage.

They heard the music stop too quickly and people clapped.

"Excellent performance. I could see your raw talent and skill shining through it. Only thing though, there were small mistakes and you should improve on those." the judge said but Yeonjun and Jaewon didn't know how the dancers reacted as they weren't in view of the T.V anymore.

"Yeonjun, Jaewon! You're on!" the man appeared again and rushed them towards the stage.

The couple moved forward as Jaewon's breathing started becoming heavy. Her head started to become dizzy and she blinked rapidly, suddenly realizing what she was about to do.

What was she thinking?

"Yeonjun I can't do this!" the girl exclaimed last minute, turning around and bumping into the blue hair weirdo.

At the sight of Jaewon panicking and hyperventilating, he quickly grabbed her shoulders, telling her to breathe.

"Why are you scared? You have no reason to be. You. Are. Amazing." he said, specifying each word as he spoke.

"Am I?" she breathed out, looking up at him with scared eyes.

"You are." he replied without missing a single beat.

Jaewon sighed taking deep breaths as Yeonjun watched her.

"I believe in you."

Jaewon looked at up Yeonjun again and that one look was all it took for her previous realisation to be confirmed.

How he was also one of the first people to follow her, how he never judged her despite the fact she always showed him her vulnerable side, how he was the only person who constantly saw her for who she really was, how he so sweetly made lunch for her everyday just so that she wouldn't starve, how he was always standing by her side and supporting her, how he actually knew her.

After all these months, she was finally realizing it.

Jaewon was finally realising she had grown feelings for Choi Yeonjun, her blue hair weirdo, the boy who was always with her.

Jaewon took a deep breath.

"Let's do this." she said and not a second later, the MC asked them to come onto stage.

The two made eye contact wth each other and Yeonjun firmly nodded before the they went onto the stage.

The lights turned low as both people got into their positions just before catching sight of the TXT members waving at them from the audience.

Both smiled, heart warmed by the support their best friend's were showing before the music started playing.

They both started walking towards each other as the song they picked started playing. Letting the music progress, they started dancing, moving around the stage just like Yeonjun had said earlier.

Feeling the male's arm wrap itself around her waist, Yeonjun lifted Jaewon up just how they had rehearsed and the audience cheered.

The song kept playing and the two dancers faced each other. Yeonjun moved his hands from her neck to her waist and lifted her up again as she held onto his shoulders. He then left go and she fell into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist.

Jaewon let go and slipped down as their eyes met. Sparks flew as the two pushed themselves away from each other and danced their hearts out, showing the audience their passion, what they truly loved.

Their hearts were beating fast, whole bodies feeling warm as Jaewon ran towards him and he grabbed her, lifting her up again without an issue.

Finally the song started slowing down and Yeonjun gently lowered her, turning her around so that she faced him.

Breathing heavily, Jaewon placed her arms around Yeonjun who settled his around her waist.

Finally the music ended as the duo remained in their ending positions.

There was a momentary silence before everyone burst out applauding, screams and cheers almost hurting their ears.

Laughing a little, Jaewon looked up at Yeonjun who looked back at her with a soft smile on his face.

"You did great." he whispered, only for her to hear.

"Thanks, so did you." she blushed.

They both stayed in their positions, still holding each other despite the fact the judge was about to evaluate their performance.

Yeonjun's eyes darted from her dark orbs to her pink lips and a sudden urge to kiss her flooded his body. He leaned forward without warning and Jaewon stiffened.

but she didn't pull away.

He was nearing her, getting closer and closer. Both their hearts were struggling to break out of their chests and the warmth from all that dancing was settling into their bodies.

Just as their lips were about to meet though, the judge spoke.

"You may pull away from each other now."

Burning with embarrassment, they quickly stepped away from each other as some people in the audience laughed.

Jaewon looked up to see TXT laughing as well and she shot them an annoyed yet playful glare. Darting her eyes, she noticed Beomgyu staring at her with a heartbroken expression but for once, she didn't care.

"You did fantastic. Your performance was perfect, I couldn't spot any mistakes! You two shared such good chemistry and fitted the concept of this competition perfectly. Outstanding performance."

The judge clapped and everyone followed, cheering once again as the two bowed and walked off stage, content with their feedback.

Yeonjun and Jaewon walked into the waiting room side by side only to be surrounded by students from the other schools bombarding them with questions like 'how are you so good?' or 'are you single?' to which Yeonjun blushed.

"OUT OF THE WAY IDIOTS!" Soobin's voice screamed out of nowhere and the crowd was pushed to the side revealing TXT.

"You were amazing!" Huening Kai screamed his dolphin scream, running forward and jumping onto Yeonjun who stumbled against his weight.

"Come on! You lifted Jaewon 3 times with grace, you can handle me." the maknae chuckled to which Yeonjun rolled his eyes and dropped him.

"You really did do great though." Taehyun said, pulling Huening Kai away and smiling at them.

"I would hug you but you guys are as sweaty as hell." Soobin commented and grinned when they glared at him.

"Come on, let's watch the other performances!" Huening Kai said just as the 4th group finished.

Jaewon and Yeonjun nodded and the group of friends headed back to where they had been sitting earlier. The other members of TXT had saved spots for Jaewon and Yeonjun early hand and so seating wasn't a problem.

The next few hours went by quickly full of fun and loud music. They all cheered for the other performers until it was time to announce the winners.

"See you soon." Jaewon muttered before she and Yeonjun left for the stage.

"There was many great performances and this was definitely a memorable night." the MC spoke and the judge stood up.

"Now, the moment you have all been waiting for." the MC said and the audience shifted in their seats, curious to see who would win.

"In third place, we have Kim Jong Seo and Lee Chaeyeon!"

A girl and a boy from a school in Ulsan ran forward to accept their medals and certificate.

The audience and other performers clapped for them until they ran off stage, giggling and talking frantically to each other.

"In second place, we have Kim Junwoo and Park Jenni!" the MC yelled and once again everyone cheered as the two students from Daegu ran up to collect their silver trophy.

"Finally, in first place we have...." the MC trailed off, creating suspense.

Jaewon fidgeted, nervous but at the same time extremely curious as to who it was. Yeonjun noticed this and slipped his hand into her's. She looked up at him in shock but he didn't look back at her, lowkey because he was scared she would pull away.

"Choi Yeonjun and Choi Jaewon!"

Screaming and cheering came once again as the two glanced at each other, shocked beyond belief.

"OMG WE DID IT!" Jaewon screamed, finally understanding what was happening.

Yeonjun screamed too, lifting the girl and spinning her as they both laughed. He put her down and they both ran onto stage together, grinning in pure happiness.

"Congratulations!" The judge said and handed Yeonjun the trophy.

The blue hair weirdo guided her towards it and they both held it, raising it into the air for the audience to cheer even louder.

TXT yelled loudest of them all, Soobin's "I know them!" clearly heard from the stage.

Giggling, they lowered the trophy and walked off stage together, hands clasped tightly with each other.

"YA congrats!" Taehyun yelled when they finally were together again.

"Thank you!" Jaewon exclaimed, smile still on her face.

TXT had honestly never seen Jaewon this happy, or even Yeonjun for that matter.

Some people who were walking by congratulated the pair as well to which they blushed.

"We really did it." Yeonjun smiled.

Jaewon turned to face him.

"We did."

The stars shone brightly among them before Jaewon finally leaned forward and placed her lips onto Yeonjun's who responded at once by wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer.

Soobin decided to be nice for once and took the trophy from Yeonjun's hands and he and TXT left, grinning at the sight of their best friends kissing without being drunk this time.

With hands now free, Yeonjun placed them on Jaewon's bare waist as she was wearing a crop top. Shivering at the feeling of his warm hands on her skin, she deepened the kiss, her heart thumping wildly against her chest.

Finally, they pulled away from each other and rested their foreheads together, breathing heavily.

"I guess you like me too." Yeonjun grinned, happier than he had ever been in his life.

He had won a dance competition and the girl he liked just kissed him.

Jaewon chuckled.

"Yeonjun-" she started but was interrupted when Soobin came out of nowhere, interrupting their moment.

"Are you kidding man?" Yeonjun groaned, fully pulling away from the girl who rolled her eyes.

"Shut up. Jaewon you need to take this." Soobin said, worry clear in his eyes as he handed Jaewon a phone.

Surprised by the male's serious tone, she took the device and held it against her ear.

Yeonjun looked at Soobin trying to ask what happened with his eyes but Soobin simply shook his head, face expression saddened.

"Hello?" Jaewon asked, covering her free ear with her hand as she couldn't hear properly.

"Hello? Is this Choi Jaewon?"

"Yes. Who am I speaking too?" the girl responded as she started walking away from the crowds, Yeonjun and Soobin following close behind.

She caught sight of Huening Kai and Taehyun standing a little further away alone and walked towards them, confused as to why she was talking with whoever was on the other side of the phone.

"I'm Doctor Lim from Soonchunhyang hospital. We're sorry to inform you, your father passed away."
