LONELY! TXT.
"Is that Jaewon!"
"Oh my god she's back?"
"I thought she left for good."
"I...Is she okay?"
Choi Jaewon ignored everyone and walked forward, head held high.
Simple words couldn't affect her, not after going through what felt like hell.
Jaewon walked into the principal's office, ignoring the older woman asking her to wait.
She was back at school, not to attend her classes though. She was here to talk to the principal.
About what?
"I would like to unenroll."
Jaewon sat down across the principal, crossing her legs and looking straight into the eyes of the startled man.
"C..Choi Jaewon! You can't just waltz in here and say such a thing!" Principal Kim yelled, groaning and straightening himself.
She had caught him by surprise.
"I would like to unenroll. I don't want to attend this school anymore." Jaewon repeated, a serious expression on her face.
The principal sighed.
"Jaewon look, I know you are going through a lot but don't make rash decisions. Your parents wanted you in this school and they both have already paid for a full course. Technically, you can't leave this school until you graduate."
"Who says?!" Jaewon exclaimed, slamming her hands onto the desk and standing up.
Principal Kim flinched and glared at her.
"Remember who you are talking to."
Jaewon rolled her eyes but nonetheless sat down again and looked at the man.
"Why can't I unenroll? I am my own guardian now and I will be graduating this year anyway." Jaewon said, trying to control her voice and keeping calm.
"Your parents asked me- no, they requested me to keep you here. As you already know, both your mother and father attended this school and they wished for you to spend your school days here and graduate. And even if I wanted you to leave, which I don't, you're almost done with school, why leave now?" Principal Kim reasoned.
"Sir I just want to go. I don't want to study in school anymore or receive emails from all my teachers about attendance. Do you not understand? I've lost everything. What I have left, I'm going to lose it soon too. I don't have time for school." Jaewon exagarted, annoyed.
"Jaewon come on! Be sensible. You are 17, you can't just leave school! You have a whole life ahead of you!" Principal Kim raised his voice, almost angry at the teenager for giving up.
"My whole life? Sir, I don't have parents, I don't have a family, I don't have money. Even if I graduate, what university is going to accept me? a girl who doesn't even have constant good grades. And in case you didn't know yet, not everyone in this school likes me." Jaewon said, ready to break something.
Anger was piling into her, bit by bit.
It was her choice to leave, it was her right. It should have been completely her decision to leave her school, why wasn't this man letting her do so?
The principal sighed, done with the girl before leaving back on his chair and looking down at his computer, placing his hands on the keyboard to resume the work he had been doing.
"You asked to unenroll, my answer is no. Your parents paid full fees and said to keep you till you graduate. You will stay here and do just as they wished." Principal Kim said and started typing, not sparing another glance at Jaewon who was fuming.
Without another word, Jaewon stood up and stormed out of the office, startling the older woman up front before entering the hallways again.
She couldn't believe this. She couldn't believe the fact she couldn't leave school.
What was the point of even coming here? She basically had no life left anyways.
Choi Yeonjun's head shot up when he heard the name of the girl he liked pass by.
Grabbing the student passing beside him who had been talking about the girl, Yeonjun stared at him with wide eyes before speaking.
"Jaewon's here?" he asked, catching the attention of the other TXT members.
The boys, realizing quickly what was happening, ran to Yeonjun's side and looked at the startled boy the oldest had grabbed.
"Y..Yes! She's near the 2nd math classroom, heading towards the entrance."
Yeonjun let go of the boy and wasted no time, running in the direction of the school's entrance as Soobin yelled a 'thanks!' and followed him along with the other TXT members.
"There she is!" Huengin Kai yelled, pointing towards the glass doors.
Everyone caught sight of a figure with short brown hair kick open the doors and stomp outside, seemingly talking to herself angrily.
"JAEWON!" Yeonjun yelled, startling multiple students around them.
Not giving a damn, he and TXT quickly ran after our and went outside, nearly slipping in the rush.
They looked around frantically only to realise they had lost her.
"Where could she have gone? How can she disappear so quickly?" Taehyun asked to no one in partially, looking around confused.
â â â
"Another glass over here!" Jaewon called out, face red and her hair messed up.
"Don't you think that's too much sweety?" the shop owner said, smiling sadly as she stared at the drunk girl.
"Miss, my father passed away. Let me drink please." the younger girl whined, holding out her hands and almost begging for the soju.
"O..Okay." the older lady stuttered before grabbing yet another bottle from the fridge and placing it on Jaewon's table.
"Here." Jaewon said, rummaging through her wallet and pulling out some money.
"Is this enough?" she asked and the shop owner nodded, concern in her eyes.
The older woman cared more about this young, drunk girl than the crisp note of money in her hands.
Jaewon put down the money and grabbed the bottle of Soju, nearly tripping as she stood up and called out 'goodbye!'.
She waltzed out of the store and took a huge gulp from the light green bottle in her hands before wiping it off and walking towards the direction she had come from.
Jaewon was heading back to school.
â â â
"Seriously, how did we miss her?" Taehyun asked, not for the first time as everyone but Yeonjun groaned.
The blue hair weirdo was once again lying on the cafeteria table, eyes half closed and a sad feeling settled into his body.
Soobin glanced at Yeonjun before looking up, annoyed.
and then he suddenly stood up, startling everyone.
"Jaewon!" Soobin exclaimed, catching the attention of Yeonjun who sat up straight at once.
"What are we waiting for?" Huening Kai asked, already jogging towards the girl's direction.
Everyone else followed his example, grabbing their bags and running out of the cafeteria towards Jaewon and a crowd that had formed around her.
Yeonjun moved ahead, faster than everyone, as he shoved aside students crowding around his girl before freezing in shock.
"When did that boy get here?" Soobin asked, catching up and panting.
He placed his hand on Yeonjun's shoulder and took a deep breath before looking up at Jaewon again, this time watching Beomgyu as well.
Choi Jaewon almost giggled, a half smile on her pink lips as she looked at Beomgyu.
"What are you doing?" Beomgyu hissed, looking around nervously as he noticed everyone watching them.
"What do you think I'm doing?" Jaewon asked, rolling her eyes as she pulled off the jacket she had been wearing.
Beomgyu blinked in surprise and flinched when the girl threw her coat to the side.
"Imma destroy the wall."
Jaewon freely let out a laugh and most students gasped, shocked by beyond belief to see the school's "cold queen" laughing.
"She looks crazy!"
Whispers filed the hall as everyone stared at Jaewon who almost danced at the attention, as if this was exactly what she had intended.
"Can y'all like, scram? I don't wanna bother with losers." Jaewon suddenly shouted, causing almost everyone to run away at once.
TXT and Beomgyu stayed back, confused about Jaewon's behavior.
Jaewon smiled at the sight of an almost empty hallway and bent down, picking up a black duffel bag that had been lying on the ground.
Going through the bag, she finally found what she had been looking for, spray paint, before tossing the bag somewhere and shaking the can.
"Jaewon what are you doing?!" Beomgyu gasped out loud at once.
"Why do you care?" Jaewon scoffed, rolling her eyes and diverting her attention to the empty white wall beside her.
"Of course I care... I don't want you to get into trouble." Beomgyu sighed, eyes sad as he stared at the girl he still cared about.
"Beomgyu." Jaewon said and turned around, glaring the her former lover with firm eyes.
"Fuck off."
Jaewon turned around again, facing the milky white wall and she continued shaking her spray paint can.
Beomgyu's eyes widened for a split second before tearing up a little, hurt by her words despite knowing he deserved it.
"I'm sorry..." Beomgyu muttered before running off.
No one made any attempt to stop him or comfort him.
"It's too late for a sorry." Jaewon said, talking to herself since Beomgyu had already left.
A few seconds if silence passed, the only sound coming from Jaewon shaking her can. Just as Yeonjun was about to speak, Jaewon flicked open the lid and sprayed the wall without any hesitation.
Soobin gasped, hands covering his mouth and Huening Kai looked at the scene with wide eyes. Taehyun looked shocked while Yeonjun stared at Jaewon with his jaw dropped.
"Jaewon..." Yeonjun gasped, trailing off in horror as he watched the girl run back and forth, destroying the wall just as she had promised.
In seconds, she had grabbed the black duffel bag again, turned the bag upside down, and let all different colors of spray painting cans come falling out.
Grabbing a different color in both hands, she shook the bottles before flipping the caps open and running towards the wall now covered by black spray paint.
Jaewon once again started running back and forth, letting out laughter and curse words and she sprayed the wall with different colors.
"Jaewon stop!" Soobin gasped, first one to speak again.
He ran towards her and attempted to grab the cab out of her hands but instead Jaewon no ended up shoving Soobin aside. Soobin tripped backwards and fell into Taehyun's arms.
All of TXT tried to stop Jaewon but she was a fighter. She had always been a fighter. They weren't strong enough to pull Jaewon away, especially since she was drunk and acting recklessly.
"Who let a minor drink!" Taehyun yelled as he grabbed the extra cans lying around and tossed them into the black duffel bag.
"Ask her when she's sober!" Yeonjun yelled back, helping Taehyun.
Soobin and Huening Kai were trying to peel Jaewon away from the wall.
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" came a loud and angry voice causing everyone to freeze.
Slowly, TXT became scared and turned as they noticed their principal walking up towards them, an angry expression on his face while his eyes noticed the wall.
Disappointment filled him when he glanced back and saw Jaewon who rolled her eyes.
He doesn't really care.
Choi Jaewon turned around again, facing the ruined school property and shaking her can, spraying once again without hesitation.
The principal walked up to her, yelling stop, and when she didn't, he grabbed the spray can and threw it away from her.
"WHAT THE HECK?!" Jaewon yelled, startled.
She tripped backwards, nearly falling, but Yeonjun caught her just in time.
"What do you think you're doing?" the principal asked, upset.
Not just because Jaewon had destroyed school property. Because she was drunk, she was being disrespectful, she had given up and would stoop to the point where she was trying to get herself expelled.
But he wasn't going to let her.
"Detention for a month." the principal said and TXT gasped, looking at each other with wide eyes.
"No! I should be expelled for this!" Jaewon breathed out in shock, pulling herself away from Yeonjun's arms.
"Jaewon! Why would you want to be expelled!" Yeonjun whisper yelled, immediately pulling the girl back.
Jaewon shoved him away, noticing a small flash of pain pass through his eyes. Pushing back her own hurt feelings, she looked at the principal. Well, glared at him really.
"I'll make you expel me." she said before turning on her heels and leaving, the spray cans and duffel bag left abandoned on the ground.
"Boys, clean this please." the principal sighed, turning around and heading to his own office, rubbing his head tiredly.
"Why do we have to-" Huening Kai started but shut up when Taehyun elbowed him.
"Let's get to work..." Soobin said with a sigh and they started picking up half empty cans, saddened by what they had just witnessed.
Yeonjun didn't move, staring at the girl who walked away from them, almost falling over the whole time since she was still drunk.
He had to help her, she needed him.
and they all knew it.
"Guys, I need to-" Yeonjun started but was interrupted.
"It's okay. Go." Soobin said, without even looking up.
He knew exactly how Yeonjun felt. He felt it too, that protective and caring feeling over Jaewon. That thought of wanting to help and protect her no matter what.
Jaewon was so precious to him, he understood how Yeonjun felt.
"Thank you."
Yeonjun hugged Soobin, causing the younger to drop the can he had been holding.
"GO Yeonjun." Soobin chuckled, almost blushing as he pushed the elder away.
The blue hair weirdo merrily chuckled and ran after Jaewon, calling out his nickname for her, "Choi."
A few seconds of silence passed and Soobin finally looked away, back down to the spray cans.
"So we have more work?" Huening Kai asked from the side and Soobin smacked him.
They started bickering almost at once, trying to attack each other but stopped when they heard Taehyun.
"Holy shit."
"What- oh my god." Soobin froze when he noticed what Taehyun was looking at.
"Cover Huening's eyes." Taehyun said at once and Soobin quickly did so, leaving the maknae protesting against the bunny's hands.
Taehyun and Soobin both continued to stare at the wall until Huening Kai pinched Soobin's stomach and finally managed to pull away, only to gasp and fall back in shock.
"Did she write that?" the maknae asked, eyes slowly filling with horror.
"She did." Soobin gulped.
On the wall, there were designs of different colors circling around a sentence written in shiny black spray paint. The large black letters formed the words,
F U C KÂ Â T H EÂ Â P R I N C I P A L
