Chapter 58

58

LONELY! TXT.

Choi Yeonjun groaned, burying his head into his hands as his eyes tightly shut together.

One look at Jaewon and Beomgyu together and he snapped.

He hurt her but he himself was hurt too.

He groaned loudly again before sitting up straight and releasing a sigh.

Taehyun looked up at the sounds produced from the oldest before rolling his eyes and placing down his book.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" the younger boy glared, causing Yeonjun to jump.

"What do you mean?" the blue hair weirdo replied, surprised Taehyun had raised his voice.

"I can't believe you still think she'll pick him over you." Taehyun scoffed. "Literally everyone can see how much you two like each other."

Yeonjun blinked rapidly, perhaps to hold back his sudden tears, but he gave a sad smile and shook his head.

"Beomgyu was the first person, it was always him." Yeonjun muttered, "I never stood a chance."

Taehyun face palmed himself but decided to let it go since he wanted Yeonjun to figure it out himself.

Yeonjun was the one who needed to realize Jaewon liked him, not Beomgyu.

Choi Jaewon on the other hand, was absolutely furious.

She had no idea why Yeonjun had suddenly snapped that way and was pissed he still thought she liked Beomgyu.

Jaewon might have liked Beomgyu very much at one point in life but that boy had made way too many mistakes for her to ever like him again.

She knew she liked Yeonjun though.

She might not have known when it started but Jaewon knew she had liked Yeonjun ever since their dance competition in Busan.

Jaewon sighed, holding back her sudden tears as her head fell against her locker. Sofia flinched beside her before she placed a hand on Jaewon's shoulder and gave a comforting pat.

"I don't understand...why does everything hurt so much?" Jaewon sobbed, turning and hugging Sofia.

"I don't know Jae, I don't know."

Sofia wished she could have helped Jaewon with all her heart but she still didn't know much about the rest of TXT and how Jaewon felt towards Beomgyu and Yeonjun.

Sofia hadn't even realized Jaewon had dated Beomgyu before until a few days ago.

"I like Yeonjun so much..."

The two girls broke the hug and Sofia almost gasped when she saw the pained expression in Jaewon's eyes.

She might not have been around for most of Jaewon's teenage life but she knew when Jaewon was hurt and right now?

Jaewon wasn't hurt.

Sofia glanced at her again.

Jaewon was in agony.

This girl had faced more things than anyone in the world and she was still standing tall, stronger than how people normally saw her.

"Jaewon...maybe you need to tell him this."

Jaewon looked up, wiping her tears and blinking.

"What?" she mumbled, looking a little confused.

"Tell Yeonjun how much he means to you." Sofia blushed.

Jaewon frowned, thinking through Sofia's words before signing and nodding her head.

"I guess I haven't really showed him how much he means to me..." she trailed of.

Sofia smiled, glad Jaewon understood what she was trying to say before looking down at her watch. With a sudden gasp, she realized she was late to her next class and she quickly waved at Jaewon who laughed, before leaving to science.

"Bye!" Jaewon called out, waving until Sofia was out of view.

The moment the girl was gone, Jaewon's hand dropped and the smile left her face.

She glanced at her schedule sitting inside her locker but when remembered she had english with everyone but Sofia, she shook her head.

Stuffing her hand into her bag inside her locker, Jaewon pulled out a strawberry lollipop and let out a smile, the sight of her favorite candy after so long making her giddy on the inside. Soon, the girl had unwrapped the candy. shoved it into her mouth, and was on her way to the rooftop, hands tucked in her pockets.

she was skipping class

and for once, no one was following her.

The next few days passed by very quickly and TXT plus Sofia noticed neither Jaewon or Yeonjun were exchanging many words.

Of course, Yeonjun never stopped bringing lunchboxes and Jaewon never stopped helping the blue hair weirdo at every chance she got but now Yeonjun wouldn't beg for her to feed him anymore or make her blush every time they had a conversation.

Jaewon wanted to change this because she hated being like this with Yeonjun but had no idea how.

She was new to this, she never had relationship problems the way she was having with Yeonjun right now.

She didn't know what to do.

and so she let everything go by in silence, not commenting on anything the way she normally would have.

"Jaewon."

The girl looked up at the sound of her name but when noticing Beomgyu, her eyes narrowed and she crossed her arms.

"What do you want?" she shot and Beomgyu gulped.

Yeonjun, who was sitting across the table, looked up at the noise and found himself glaring at them both when he realized they were talking.

"Can we talk?" Beomgyu sighed, hands firm by his sides.

Jaewon shook her head.

"No."

"Please Jaewon...I really need to talk to you."

Yeonjun scowled, becoming even more angrier when he saw Jaewon sigh and get up, following Beomgyu out of the cafeteria.

Without thinking, he stood up and followed after them, not listening to Sofia and TXT calling him back.

Jaewon and Beomgyu headed upstairs to the rooftop, having no idea the blue hair weirdo was following them before standing side by side.

"I know you don't want me to say it anymore but...I'm sorry." Beomgyu sighed and Jaewon flinched.

"Whatever." the girl replied, not making eye contact.

Beomgyu bit his lip before opening his mouth again, refusing to end this conversation without saying what he needed to say.

"I know you hate me but I have to tell you something before..."

Jaewon crossed her arms, a little confused but attention caught, "before what?"

Silence met the two and no one said anything for a while.

Finally Beomgyu shook his head and released a small smile.

"I didn't tell the school about your life or where you live." he said and Jaewon gasped.

"It was all Jisoo, she had followed us that day."

Jaewon felt anger boiling in her and she glared, mind already going crazy as she thought about that bitch Jisoo.

"Of course." she scowled.

Beomgyu sighed, suddenly feeling like so much pressure had left him. He felt relaxed now, he had no secrets.

besides the one.

"Well, I just wanted to tell you that."

Jaewon looked up before a sorry expression crossed her face, feeling extremely guilty for beating up Beomgyu now that she realized he hadn't actually done anything.

"I'm so sorry Beomgyu." the girl cried, grabbing the boy and pulling him into a hug without thinking.

Beomgyu stiffened, shocked Jaewon was hugging him while Yeonjun nearly fell out of his hiding spot, a familiar feeling of jealousy blooming in his chest.

"I...It's okay! I'm the one who would apologize for everything I ever did to you..."

Despite everything Jaewon and Beomgyu had gone through together, there was still a chance for them.

Not as lovers, but maybe as friends.

❅ ❅ ❅

"How was your time with Beomgyu?"

Jaewon snapped her head up before catching sight of Yeonjun.

A blush met her cheeks as her heart started racing, not sure why she was suddenly so flustered just by seeing Yeonjun.

The blue hair weirdo on the other hand, thought she was blushing for Beomgyu and felt even more anger pile onto him.

"We had an honest talk, cleared misunderstandings." Jaewon replied when she realized she hadn't answered Yeonjun's question.

The boy rolled his eyes in response before crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes.

Jaewon found herself nervously gulping.

"Honest talk? Cleared misunderstandings? So what, are you two dating now?"

"What?" Jaewon frowned, "Of course not."

Yeonjun scoffed before turning around to leave, not saying another word.

but Jaewon wasn't having that.

She immediately grabbed Yeonjun's hand and pulled him back, causing the male to let out a gasp.

"What the hell!"

"What the hell is your problem?" Jaewon interrupted, yelling.

Yeonjun froze.

"My problem," he breathed out, "is that you can't seem to pick anyone other than Beomgyu."

Jaewon let go of Yeonjun and scoffed, disbelief clouding her emotions.

"Are you kidding me?"

"No. You just can't let go of him. I mean, if you want Beomgyu so bad, have him." Yeonjun turned around and walked out of the building.

Jaewon immediately followed, confusion and anger too heavy in her chest to let it go.

"Hey!" she yelled, not even looking up when she realized it was raining.

Yeonjun turned around and upon noticing Jaewon right behind him, his eyes slightly widened.

"What!?" he asked in response, still upset.

"I don't like Beomgyu that way alright!" Jaewon yelled, causing Yeonjun to flinch.

Beomgyu, who had actually been watching everything, ran towards them and before he knew it, he was standing by Jaewon's side, ready to defend her.

"Sure." Yeonjun rolled his eyes, the sight of Beomgyu and Jaewon together only adding more onto his fury.

"Yeonjun please..." Jaewon found herself begging, "I like you!"

At her words, Yeonjun felt his heart warm up and he couldn't help but blush, cheeks turning dark red.

"But you're always picking him..." he trailed of.

"I don't! I swear, it's you Yeonjun." Jaewon exclaimed, "it's always gonna be you."

Yeonjun shook his head despite how his heart throbbed at her words.

Rain soaked all 3 people but none made an effort to shelter themselves, too caught up in the dramatic moment.

"I'm sorry...I just don't believe you."

Jaewon's hands dropped to her sides, eyes watching Yeonjun leave in shock.

"W...Wait!" she whispered but the blue hair weirdo didn't look back.

He didn't give Jaewon another chance.

Beomgyu held out his arms, disappointed at how things had turned out but immediately attempting to comfort Jaewon when she hugged him back, sobbing quietly.

"It's alright love, it's alright." he whispered into Jaewon's ear as her heart slowly cracked in half, the parts Yeonjun had glued back together, permanently falling.
