LONELY! TXT.
Choi Jaewon had never gone out with someone before and had no idea what she was supposed to do. Since she never had a phone, Beomgyu asked her to meet up at his house, which for some reason she agreed to. She didn't really know why, but as she stood outside what was supposed to be the boy's house, she fixed her outfit and rung the doorbell nervously.
After a few seconds, it was opened by a woman who looked like she was in her 40's. Jaewon let an awkward smile show before the woman chuckled and let her in.
"I'm guessing you're Beomgyu's friend?" she asked and Jaewon gave a brief nod.
Beomgyu's mother secretly thought that this girl standing in her house was her son's girlfriend and that she was the most beautiful woman ever. She thought that her son really got a good one this time, unlike all those weird one's he had dated before for 'popularity'.
Beomgyu's mother really didn't understand her son's obsession with becoming popular. He had, had good friends and he even had a few girlfriends, but he still wanted more. She tried over and over again to explain to Beomgyu that being popular wasn't everything but the boy simply wouldn't listen. He was too determined for the wrong thing.
Choi Beomgyu walked down the stairs of his humble home to see Jaewon standing with his mother and waiting for him. In all honesty, Beomgyu thought Jaewon was beautiful but he would never tell her that. He didn't want her to think he was any more annoying than she already thought he was.
"Hey, shall we go?" Beomgyu asked.
Choi Jaewon looked away from the floor and onto Beomgyu's figure, a little bit startled by her own mind when she thought he looked handsome. If you really paid attention, underneath the glasses and the 'nerdy look', Beomgyu was actually very handsome. If people saw that, no one would ever bully him in the first place.
"Yeah, let's go." Jaewon said to him, bowing to his mother and then leaving.
"I'll be back in the evening!" Beomgyu quickly called out and followed Jaewon.
The pair headed towards a nearby bus stop to get on it and head towards Hongdae since that was a popular spot to go shopping. After 30 minutes or so, they arrived and stepped out, Jaewon watching as the bus left.
"Ok, first the glasses." she said, and started walking towards a glasses store nearby.
Beomgyu quickly followed, understanding that his glasses had to leave first in order to complete his 'popular' look. Once inside the store, Jaewon asked Beomgyu for his eyesight level before leaving him standing there.
Beomgyu looked around for a bit, observing many different glasses before Jaewon came back holding a small box with contact lenses.
"Take off your glasses." she said and waited for him to move.
"Huh? my glasses?"
Jaewon was honestly feeling a bit impatient. Thinking about stuff, she didn't want to be here and "transform" Beomgyu but she had already agreed to help and she didn't want to be bothered by him in school any more.
"Take off your glasses." she repeated.
Beomgyu just stood still looking confused even though he already knew she was getting him contact lenses. Annoyed, Jaewon finally grabbed onto his shirt collar and pulled him forward, causing the male to stumble and fall in front of her face. Both their eyes widened at once, surprised by the bold move just to remove a pair of glasses.
Trying to calm her sudden racing heart, Jaewon used her free hand to pull the glasses of Beomgyu's nose, her fingers softly brushing against the male's skin. He shivered, for some reason liking her touch, before she took a step back and placed the glasses down on a table nearby.
"Here, put these on." she said, doing her best not to stutter as she handed Beomgyu the contact lens case.
This time, Beomgyu understood and quickly took the box, putting on the brown contact lenses as quickly as he could without hurting himself. Jaewon, on the other hand, had to calm herself down from the sudden moment with Beomgyu. Once the said male was done, she nodded and took him out of the store, heading towards a hair stylist now.
Once inside the new place, Jaewon left Beomgyu to find someone and then returned with a stylist.
"Straighten his hair and-" Jaewon paused for a moment, glancing towards Beomgyu, "make it grey please." she told the stylist who immediately nodded and got to work.
Choi Beomgyu was pushed onto his seat as the stylist behind him started to work on his hair. The curls of his brown locks that he had always hated, slowly disappeared, and got cut to even his face. Once that was over, his hair slowly changed color, a few hours passing as it was bleached.
Jaewon had left half way to go get food but there was a long queue and by the time she got back, Beomgyu was done. He stood up and turned around, the height he had actually startling the girl. Jaewon actually had to stop herself from fangirling because Beomgyu looked amazing.
His dazzling silver hair suited him better than she thought possible and his face was no longer hidden under curls and glasses. He looked so handsome, Jaewon had to mentally slap herself to force her thoughts to stop.
She nodded, just once, before paying the stylist and heading out the store, of course, Beomgyu following like a puppy.
"I could have paid." he mumbled, a little flustered by how free his head suddenly felt.
Jaewon wasn't really sure if it was just her or Beomgyu was doing it on purpose, but now she was noticing how deep his voice could actually be and it was extremely attractive.
"Too late, I already paid." Jaewon replied before shoving some of the food she had gotten into Beomgyu's hands.
"Eat now." she told him, getting out her own food and munching on it.
They both found a table and sat down, not exchanging words but finally sitting comfortably together. Maybe Jaewon was finally used to his presence, she didn't know. All she knew was that right now, she wasn't bothered by his presence and was rather thankful. After all, Beomgyu had been the only person in her company for the last few days.
"Well, its nearly past 3:00 pm so why don't we go shopping for clothes? Your fashion sense isn't the greatest you know." Jaewon said and then did something she never thought she would do.
She grinned.
Beomgyu, startled by the sudden, beautiful smile he was offered, choked on his food. Finding the sight amusing, Jaewon let herself smile for a little longer before giving attention to her own edible snacks.
"Y...Yeah sure!"
Beomgyu wasn't exactly sure why he was so much more nervous than before, but with a sudden thought, he considered the possibility of liking Jaewon.
Beomgyu had never been the type to follow people around, even if he wanted their help or something like that, but he had done the exact thing with Jaewon. He followed her and bothered her until she finally accepted his 'popularity' request. He had always wanted to stay with her and even sacrificed his Saturday for just one more day out of school with her.
Could he like Jaewon?
Choi Jaewon, now thinking back to her actions, asked herself the same thing over and over again.
Why did she smile? Why did she left herself show that emotion?
Then her mind moved onto more serious matters like why did her heart beat so fast when she was close to him? Why did she start to feel her cheeks heat up around him? Why did she allow him to be with her all the time instead of scaring him off like she usually did with people?
Could she possibly like Choi Beomgyu?
As both pair reached the thought of liking each other, they immediately looked at one another before averting their gaze elsewhere.
"It's late. I...I should probably head back instead. We could meet another time for clothes?" Beomgyu stuttered out, not realizing he just asked her out again.
"Huh? Yeah sure. I...I'll see you on Monday!" Jaewon replied as they both stood up and shoved their belongings into their bags.
"Bye!" Beomgyu quickly called out and they parted ways.
Sighing, Jaewon realized she agreed on going out with him yet again and mentally prepared herself for the torture she would most likely face. But then if you think about it, with the current look Beomgyu had going on, he would most likely look good on anything he picked.
Jaewon hit herself at the thought and a few people looked at her like she was crazy. Sighing again, she got onto a bus before paying for the ride and heading home, Beomgyu doing the same thing in another bus stop nearby, a blush evident on his cheeks.
