With Bennett Caden joining the fray, there were now four eighth–rank martial artists fighting against the

Spirit Turtle—Thomas Caden, Simon Cabral, Winston Blithe, and Bennett himself. Each of them stood

at a corner and performed their own signature martial art skill. Four beams of True Energy struck the

Spirit Turtle.

However, the Spirit Turtle’s shell was impenetrable. Even eighth–rank martial artists could not even

many had joined the fray, Callan wished to be the first to obtain the Spirit Turtle’s blood. He leaped into

the air and joined the battle once more. However, this time, he did not use all of his strength. After all,

he was severely injured. If he overexerted himself, the consequences would be dire.

Lucjan furrowed his eyebrows as he observed the situation. Seeing that many more had begun joining

the fray, he leaped into action too.

Then, many others joined the battle. They were not eighth–rank martial artists, but instead peak

seventh–rank.

Powerful True Energy reverberated throughout Mount Thunder Sect. Even James could feel a shiver

down his spine.

“Ah…”

As James watched the chaos unfold, he could not help but exclaim.

Then, he spotted Maxine being struck by the waves from afar. She collapsed to the ground and

vomited a mouthful of blood, which reddened her white clothes. Though she tried to get up, the waves

of True Energy were too powerful. The moment she stood up, the earth rumbled, and she staggered

and fell once more.

James swiftly ran over to her, grabbed her arm, and pulled her out of the region. After leaving the area,

he put her down.

“What the hell? Why didn’t you leave?” he questioned her.

Now, the opportunity to attain immortality lay before them.

“I will help you!” said a voice.

Then, an elderly man appeared. It was Winston Blithe, Grand Patriarch of the Blithes.

Judging by how the battle between Callan, Thomas, Simon, and the Spirit Turtle went, Winston knew

that the Spirit Turtle was strong. Immediately, he used the Blithe Fist of Abomination, the signature

martial art skill of the Blithes.

Below, Bennett Caden was observing the battle.

“So this is the secret of the four paintings. To think that Thomas managed to gather them and unravel

the secret behind them. Immortality… What an alluring prospect…”

No one was unafraid of death, even Bennett.

Now, the secret to attaining immortality lay before him.

With Winston joining the battle, Bennett leaped into the air and joined the battle too.

Yaakov Johnston was retreating with the disciples of the Johnstons.

After leaving the Mount Thunder Sect, he watched the fierce battle which was happening in the air.

“Immortality…”

His face darkened.

“I have to obtain the Spirit Turtle’s blood. Leave this place at once.”

After giving his instructions, he soared to the sky and made haste toward the battle. He also wanted to

slay the Spirit Turtle and be the first to consume its blood.
