Chapter 1500
The Almighty Dragon General
âThatâs them, alright,â Maxine nodded and said.
âThatâs great!â Quincy was exhilarated.
As she had been interacting with many influential figures in the Capital, she knew about Orient
Commerc and the authority it wielded. The backbone of the Solean economy was in the hands of
Orient Commerc which the Lee family dominated.
âJames, you have to take over the Leesâ businesses no matter the cost!â
Quincy said excitedly, âNow that the Chamber of Commerce has been established, the Dawn family of
th north and many other businesses have joined us. However, as the founder, we have to demonstrate
strength. If we can take over the Leesâ businesses, our reputation and prestige will spread far and wide
Quincy began weighing the pros and cons.
James knew little about this. He was in deep contemplation over how to successfully take over the
Lees businesses.
Soon, they arrived.
A twenty-year-old-looking woman answered the door. As she was in the comfort of her own home, she
was dressed in casual attire and wearing a pair of slippers.
âMaxine.â
The woman greeted Maxine.
Then, she looked at James and said with a smile, âJames, your reputation precedes you. My name is
Xiomara Lee.â
The woman extended her arm.
Maxine smiled. âDonât you underestimate her, James. Sheâs the one in charge of all the Leesâ
businesses in the outside world. Sheâs also quite well known in the Capitalâs aristocratic circle. Known
as a commercial genius, she manages the Leesâ businesses in an orderly manner despite her young
age.â Xiomara returned her smile. âYou flatter me, Maxine. Though Iâm slightly older than you, youâre
already the family head of the Cadens. Oh my, look at the time! Sorry for taking up your time. Please,
come in.â
Xiomara beckoned them in.
Upon arriving in the living room, a servant of the Lees walked over to them and served them some
desserts.
âPlease make yourself comfortable. Iâll inform the family head of your arrival.â
After saying that, she left.
After she left, Quincy said, âIâve heard of Xiomara before. Sheâs rather well known in the Capitalâs
aristocratic circle. I wanted to get acquainted with her too. However, despite my connections, I couldnât
get the chance to meet her. I didnât expect to bump into her at the Leesâ residence.â
âIs she that impressive, though?â James scratched his nose.
âShe definitely is. After all, she manages trillions of dollars worth of assets.â Quincy spoke highly of
Xiomara.
They conversed briefly.
After some time, Xiomara appeared alongside Yasmine.
Yasmine took a seat and looked at James. She said with a smile, âWe meet again, James.â
James nodded slightly and cut to the chase. âI heard from Maxine that the Lees intend to sell all their
businesses in the outside world.â
âYes.â
Yasmine nodded and said, âA storm is brewing on the horizon. The Lees have no plans of getting
pulled into the conflict and intend to leave the Capital. Thatâs why weâre selling all of our family
businesses.â James said, âThough I wish to purchase them, I understand that money is meaningless to
the Lee family. How about this? Iâll give you something of equal value. If thereâs anything you require of
me, feel free to speak your mind. Iâll do my best to fulfill your needs.â
âIndeed.â
Yasmine said, âMoney is worthless to us. However, that being said, the Lees do not lack anything.â
Yasmine was lost in contemplation. She wondered what could she get in exchange for giving away the
lucrative businesses of her family. After some contemplation, she thought of one thing-the secret of the
four paintings left behind by the Prince of Orchid Mountain.
âHow about this, James? Iâll ask the Grand Patriarch for his opinion on this matter. How does that
sound to you?â
