All of a sudden, a figure flew up the cliff.

The person landed firmly on the ground.

“Master,”

Tapio immediately stood up and addressed him respectfully.

The person that flew up the cliff was a youthful–looking man, probably around his 30s.

He had long hair and was dressed in a white robe. The man had a calm demeanor as he crossed his

hands behind his back.

“What’s the situation?” he inquired.

“Master, Celestial Sect’s leader, has challenged Tobias to a duel at Mt. Thunder Pass. In the past few

days, news had spread that Celestial Sect’s leader is actually James‘ wife, Thea.”

“Celestial Sect’s leader is Thea?”

Upon hearing this news, the man in his 30s was surprised.

During this period, he also tried to investigate the identity of the Celestial Sect’s leader but to no avail.

After composing himself, he asked, “Who spread the news?”

Tapio replied, “I’m not sure. By the way, according to reliable sources, James appeared in the Capital.

After he visited the Cadens‘ mansion, he rushed to the Southern Plains. Judging by the time, he should

have already arrived in Southern Plains City.”

“Didn’t Tobias absorb James‘ True Energy and cripple him?”

Tapio shook his head and said, “I’m not certain about that either.”

Suddenly, Tapio’s phone vibrated, and he pulled it out. He looked at the screen and said, “I just got the

news that James had started his journey to Mt. Thunder Pass.”

The man dressed in the traditional–looking white robe nodded lightly and said, “I’ll meet James in

person this time. He’s lucky to have survived that dangerous battle in Malgudi.”

“Master, are you going to reveal yourself?” Tapio was taken aback.

“It’s time to make an appearance.”

After replying to the question, his body flickered, and he vanished from the area as if he had never

been there in the first place.

He completely disappeared from Tapio’s sight in just a few seconds.

James drove toward Mt. Thunder Pass.

After half a day, he appeared within the vicinity of Mt. Thunder Pass.

The path ahead of him had abruptly ended.

He stopped the engine and got out of the car.

As soon as he got out of the car, he felt an intense energy rushing toward him.

The person appeared out of thin air and was traveling at a speedy clip. James did not even sense him

until he was within his sights.

He stood in front of the car door and looked at the man in white standing a hundred meters away from

him.

The white–clothed man stepped forward and appeared in front of James with a few steps.

James stared at the sudden guest.

“Who’re you?”

There was a hint of wariness in his expression.

“Haha. James, we finally meet.” The man in white looked at James with a smile on his face.

“Finally meet?”

James was slightly puzzled by his words.

What does that mean?

Could this person have been secretly observing him this whole time?

“Who are you?”

As soon as he finished speaking, the man in white suddenly leaped into action.

He closed in on James instantly and thrust his palm forward. The attack struck James with colossal

force.

James quickly reacted. He mobilized his True Energy, and nine waves of True Energy flowed in his

body toward his Elixir Field to form True Heavenly Yang Energy.

He quickly concentrated the energy in his palm and raised his hand to block his opponent’s attack.

Boom!

Their palms collided.

A powerful shockwave swept across the area.

The car James had just parked was instantly overturned by the shockwave and the force instantly

reduced it to a heap of iron debris.

The terrifying force also shattered a few rocks near the road.

James and his opponent both took a few steps backward.

The man in white his arm go numb, and his fair face took on a more serious expression. He

inadvertently uttered, “Such potent True Energy.”

James‘ Blood Energy roiled from the shock, and warmth surged up his throat.

Blood had been forced into his mouth, but he made himself swallow it.

“Who are you?”

James was shocked.

He had reached the Skyward Stairway’s Fifth Stair and was at the threshold of the sixth step.

However, his mysterious opponent was able to withstand his attack.

He was terrifyingly strong.

“Tyrus Lafleur.”

The man in white parted his lips and simply mentioned his name.

“Tyrus Lafleur?”

Who exactly is this person? James was puzzled.
