Chapter 1649
The Almighty Dragon General
James walked over to Simon and stopped before him.He looked at the injured Simon.
When he was in Mount Thunder Sect, Simon had given him their sectâs Sacred Wine, which allowed
his strength to skyrocket.
Back when Lucjan was hunting him down, Simon defended James and protected him with his life.
It stood to reason that James still had a good impression of Simon.
When he saw Simon injured, he wanted to treat him.
Immediately, a steel wire slipped out of Jamesâ sleeve.
The steel wire disintegrated into needles.
James held onto Crucifier and attempted to treat Simonâs injuries.
"w-Whatâre you trying to do?"
Simon stared at James warily.
James replied, "No matter what kind of person you've become, youâve saved me in the past.Today, I'll
treat your injuries to repay your kindness."
After speaking, James began preparations to use Crucifier.
Simon believed in Jamesâ character, so he did not refuse or have other significant concerns about the
treatment.
James inserted a needle into Simonâs body.
Immediately, he felt a warmth spreading throughout his body.
After a few more needles were inserted, his whole body felt relaxed, and a magical force quickly
repaired his wounds.
The injuries throughout his body were miraculously healed in mere minutes.
James removed the needles and departed.
Simon stood up after James had left.
He stretched his body and gasped with disbelief, "Amazing.Jamesâ medical skills are the best in the
world."
James left without anyone stopping him.
Tapio followed him.
The two ignored the others and quickly left King Quavonâs Mausoleum.
Outside the mausoleum, Tapio asked, "Did you really not find the Novenary Golden Pills?"
"Yeah, there wasnât anything inside."
James stopped in his tracks, looked Tapio in the eye, and said, "We've all been deceived."
"Really?"
Tapio looked at him incredulously.
Tyrus had personally told him about everything within King Quavonâs Mausoleum.
The fact that they found the First Sword Art, also implied that the Novenary Golden Pills also existed
within the mausoleum.
How was it possible that James did not find it? "James, Iâm not the best at dealing with mental
charades so please donât lie to me.There isnât anyone else here. You can take it out now. It's not like Iâm
interested in taking it from you."
"I don't have it."
James said earnestly, "Well, I canât help it if you donât believe me.We should go our separate ways from
here.Iâm heading back to the Capital since there are still many loose ends I need to tie up.Goodbye."
James turned around and left.
Tapio stood in place as he watched James leave.
He stroked his chin and murmured, "Was there really nothing inside? That's impossible.Master clearly
said it was..."
Immediately, a faint smile formed on his face.
"That brat.It seems he learned his lesson."
James left quickly.
After stepping out of King Quavonâs Mausoleumâs range, he scanned his surroundings to ensure Tapio
did not follow him.
Upon confirming he was alone, James took out the small crystal bottle he had obtained from the
mausoleum and opened it.
A pleasant and aromatic herbal fragrance spread in the air as soon as the bottle was opened.
The scent alone was enough to make James feel refreshed.
The pores of his whole body were instantly opened, and he felt incredibly relaxed.
He was unsure whether consuming the elixir would allow him to become a ninth-ranked grandmaster.
However, he knew it was definitely an excellent tonic just by the aroma alone.
"Itâs amazing."
James took a deep breath.
He poured out the pills from the bottle.
The pills were golden and were approximately the size of an olive.
Altogether, there were exactly seven pillsâno more, no less.
It was just as Tapio had said previously.
"Tapio truly is a font of knowledge.Itâs as if King Quavonâs Mausoleum is his backyard. He even knows
the exact number of Novenary Golden Pills that exist,"
James murmured.
He would have suspected that Tapio had been to King Quavonâs Mausoleum before and placed the
Novenary Golden Pills inside, had not known they were the first batch of people to enter the
mausoleum since thousands of years ago.
