The Omniscient Deity was dissatisfied with being ordered around by James.

The Omniscient Deity pointed to a courtyard and continued speaking, “You can stay over there for the

time being.”

“Alright.” James gently nodded.

Then, he turned around and walked off.

After James left, the Omniscient Deity wore a smirk as he murmured, “This kid sure is arrogant.”

James approached the courtyard the Omniscient Deity had pointed out to him and entered the house

situated in there.

The house had a very simple layout with only a bed and chair.

James sat in a lotus position on the bed and took out a Novenary Golden Pill.

He had obtained seven Novenary Golden Pills from King Quavon’s Mausoleum a year ago.

He had consumed one and given another to Sky.

There were five pills left.

He planned to take another one.

His strength had already reached the Ninth Stair of the Skyward Stairway, and he was only one step

away from becoming a ninth-ranked grandmaster.

year ago. He must’ve consumed one in the last year. He’s probably planning to take another one to

break

through to the ninth rank to slay the dragon.”

“It’s not going to be that easy.”

The Omniscient Deity replied, “How could it be so easy to step into the ninth rank? Even the Novenary

Golden Pills can only increase one’s True Energy and cultivation. We’re talking about ranks, not one’s
