Chapter 1787
The Almighty Dragon General
James apologized, stood up, and bowed his head.
âIâm here to apologize for it.
âIâm really sorry.
âIâm unable to keep my promise to you.
âI shouldâve made it clear to you earlier, but Iâve delayed it until now because of so many unexpected
things.â
Tears kept rolling down Tiaraâs cheeks.
Tiara knew this day would come, but she still held on to some hope all this time.
At that moment, she did not feel too much sadness but instead felt relieved.
Tiara said with a smile, âYou donât have to feel guilty about it, James.â
Although she was smiling, tears still rolled down her face.
Even so, she tried her best to comfort James. She did not want James to feel guilty or be burdened by
her. James heaved a sigh of relief, seeing that Tiara had accepted his words.
âThank you for the Dragon Essence.â
Tiara knew James would feel bad and brood over it on his future martial art path if she did not accept it.
âIâve got something else to do, so Iâll take my leave first.â
Tiara left with the Dragon Essence.
James sat on the sofa in the private room in a daze for about ten minutes.
âHuff.â
After some time, he took a deep breath.
Then, he called Quincy.
The meet-up location was the same coffee shop, but James had changed to a different private room.
Soon, Quincy arrived.
She wore a red dress and had big, red, wavy curls, radiating with the charisma of a mature urban
woman. âLong time no see, James.â
As soon as she sat down, she greeted James. With a faint smile, she asked jokingly, âWhat did you ask
me out to tell me? Could it be that you want to invite me to your wedding?â
Quincy was very open-minded and accepting.
James said with a smile, âYouâve been helping me for the past two years, and Iâve always wanted to
treat you to a meal but never had the chance to do so. Iâm free today and wanted to sit with you for a
while. What do you want for lunch? Go ahead and tell me a place. Iâll treat you.â
âYouâre being too polite with me.â
Quincy said with a smile, âIâm helping you because I love to work. Even if I werenât helping you, Iâd be
working anyway.â
James took out a syringe the size of a mineral bottle and handed it to Quincy.
âDragon blood?â Quincy was startled.
Although she did not care about the ancient martial worldâs affairs, she had still heard the news about
the dragon slaying.
She also knew James and Thea participated in slaughtering the dragon.
âYeah.â
James nodded gently and said, âThis is the dragonâs blood that every martial artist has been dreaming
about. Itâs rumored the dragonâs blood can make one immortal and live forever. Although I donât know if
itâs true, there are a few immortals in Sol and overseas.â
âGosh, youâre being too kind. Who am I to receive this?â
Although Quincy chuckled jokingly, she still accepted the dragonâs blood.
She was a wise woman and could guess that James had given her such a precious gift to say
goodbye.
She maintained a smile on her face, but her heart was in sorrow.
Immortality?
What was the point?
Was she supposed to live a lonely eternity?
Despite the thought, she kept it to herself.
Quincy asked jokingly. âBy the way, when will you and Thea hold your official wedding?â
James smiled and said, âWe probably wonât have a wedding. Weâll leave Cansington in a few days to
travel the world.â
âOh,â Quincy left out a soft reply.
Her expression remained the same, but her eyes were filled with a trace of sadness.
