Sitting in a lotus position next to the small tree was a woman.

It was Delainey who sat there cultivating. Perhaps it was due to absorbing the silver fruit, but Delainey

radiated a silver glow that made it seem like she was bathed in moonlight. It made her look exquisite

and mystical.

Sensing someone approaching, Delainey stopped cultivating. She raised her head and stood up

excitedly. “You’re back, James!”

James nodded and said, “Thank you, Delainey.”

“W-Who’s that with you?”

Delainey looked at the woman behind James.

James smiled and explained, “This is my mother.”

Delainey immediately greeted her with a smile, “Madam.”

“Hello, nice to meet you,” Xadra replied with a smile.

Delainey changed the topic and said, “James, the Sacred Tree has borne fruit. They’re

amazing. I’ve been cultivating near the tree during this period, and that alone already improved my

cultivation base significantly.”

“That’s good.”

James walked over and observed the two fruits on the tree. He picked them and handed one to

Delainey as he said, “You’ve worked hard. Here, have this fruit.”

Delainey immediately shook her head and said, “I can’t accept it.”

She pushed the fruit back to him.

“You should keep it, James. We’re all counting on you to repel the Overworld Outsiders. You must

augment your strength as much as you can. The stronger you are, the higher chances of humanity’s

survival.”

James took back the fruit and handed it to Xandra.

“Mom, you can have it then.”

Xandra also pushed his hand away. “Why are you giving it to me? Delainey’s right. You have to

prioritize improving your strength as soon as possible. Don’t you also want to acquire the Celestial

Abode? This fruit should be able to improve your strength tremendously.”

James reluctantly put the fruits away.

“I won’t be stay long in the Southern Plains. I’m counting on you to develop Wrymstead, Delainey.”

Delainey grinned, flashing her brilliant, white teeth. “Mhm! I’ll do my best!”

After James plucked the fruits, he inspected the tree. After having its fruits picked, the tree seemed to

The tree’s condition did not matter to James. He left with Xandra and the fruits.

was located. He dove into the water and emerged at an underground cave.

Shortly after, they appeared in front of the underground tower’s entrance.

The stone entrance was shut.

Xandra looked at the surroundings and asked, “Where are we, James?”

James explained, “This is earth’s Chamber of Scriptures. It stores all the signature cultivation methods

left behind by earth’s ancestors. It’s a place prepared for the humans of Earth. However, it’ll only be

open to outsiders after the Earth undergoes drastic changes. Moreover, a powerful custodian guards

this place. This is also where Thea is purifying her Demonic Energy.”

“I see.” Xandra nodded in understanding

James opened his mouth and shouted, “Ms. Custodian, are you here? It’s James! I’m here to see you.”

After his voice rang out, a white light shone, and a beautiful woman appeared.

It was the Chamber of Scriptures’ custodian.

“It’s a pleasure to see you again, Ms. Custodian.’

“Likewise.” The custodian nodded gently. However, her eyes were not looking at James but at Xandra.

James quickly explained, “You told me to bring anyone with a similar condition to Thea to this place to

purify the Demonic Energy within them. This is my mother. She also has a similar condition as Thea.”

The custodian nodded gently and said, “Indeed. I can sense it. Since that’s the case, come with me.”

After speaking, the custodian waved her hand, and powerful energy enveloped James and Xandra.

The two felt their vision distort, and they were teleported away.

Soon, they were in the depths of the tower.

There was an altar with a Grand Extremity pattern engraved on it. Thea was sitting on it, emanating

strong energy that shocked even James.
