“Wait outside, Quintina,” James urged her again.

Quintina explained, “Father, this is Sir Yoan’s disciple. He said he could save you, so I brought him

here to see what he can do.”

Farley showed Quintina a vulnerable expression when he heard the news.

He understood how Quintina was feeling and did not want to disappoint her. He told her, “You can stay

outside for the time being, Quintina. I’ll have a few words with him.”

“Okay.” Quintina nodded and turned to leave.

After she left, Farley’s gaze turned to James. With a faint smile, he asked, “Young man, you were sent

by the Divinity Sect, weren’t you? The Divine Holy Emperor didn’t intend to bring his disciples into our

territory just to gain a spot in the Pagoda of Flames, right? He’s trying to find out whether I’m still alive.”

Farley thought James was a spy sent by the Divine Holy Emperor from the Divinity Sect. James’ brows

furrowed, and he replied, “What are you talking about? I’m a disciple of the Welkin Academy. My

teacher is Sir Yoan. I’ve nothing to do with the Divinity Sect.”

“That’s enough. You can go back and tell the Divine Holy Emperor that I’m not dead yet. He’ll have to

think twice if he wants to take action against the Ancient Clan.”

James did not leave. Instead, he strode toward Farley.

Farley wanted to knock James out of the cave. However, a thought suddenly occurred to him, and his

eyes widened.

“Y-You’re not being affected by the Demonic Energy?”

The Demonic Energy in his body was oppressive, and no one could get close to him. Yet, this young

man was getting near him without being affected. It was not surprising that Farley would feel shocked.

James sat down beside Farley.

He looked at Farley with a faint smile and said, “I told you I could save you. Did you think I was joking?

Tell me how you got injured and why you’re inflicted with Demonic Energy?”

Farley looked at James in shock. After a while, he took a deep breath.

“It’s a long story that happened many years ago. About twenty years ago, a Fang from the Demon

Race approached me, and we ended up battling each other. I got injured in that fight and was tainted

with its Demonic Energy. I’ve secluded myself all these years…”

Farley briefly explained the incident. Then, he looked at James and asked, “Who exactly are you? How

are you unaffected by the Demonic Energy?”

Sitting before the Ancient Clan’s leader, who was likely the strongest person in the Three Thousand

Worlds, James did not hide the truth. He replied honestly, “Actually, I’m not from the Ancient Realm. I’m

from Earth.”

“While I was still relatively weak, I died once on Earth. Fortunately, I was saved by a secret

benefactor and she used a sacred object from the Demon Race to reform my body.

“I have a Demonic Body, so naturally, I’m not repelled by Demonic Energy.”

James still had the Celestial Abode, and Sophie was waiting inside.

Although Sophie could not help him kill a person, she could still help him escape. Thus, James was not

afraid of Farley. If Farley were to target him, he could easily escape.

“Haah.”

After hearing this, Farley took a deep breath.

“I wouldn’t have expected a young man like you to have gone through so much.”

James said, “After I learned of your condition, I agonized for a long time before deciding to save you,

Sir Gideon. The people in the Sealed Realm aren’t friendly toward humans from Earth and are even

more hostile toward demons. I’ll be in big trouble if people discover I have a Demonic Body. I’m

disclosing the truth to you because I trust you. I hope you help me keep it a secret. If you agree to do

so, I’ll help you get rid of the Demonic Energy in your body.” Hearing this, Farley nodded and said, “I

promise not to say a thing.”

“Thank you for trusting me, Sir Gideon.”

After speaking, James immediately stretched out his hand and put his palm on Farley’s chest. He

activated his cultivation method and forcefully drew out the Demonic Energy within Farley’s body.

The Demonic Energy instantly cloaked James’ body. However, he was not hurt by the Demonic Energy

and it sustained his body instead.
