Chapter 2319
The Almighty Dragon General
As a Sect Elderâs disciple at the Welkin Academy, James was assigned a room of his own. Just as he
was resting in the courtyard while discussing things with Henry and Delainey, the Divinity Sectâs
disciples appeared.
âJames Caden, the Patriarch wishes to see you. Follow me to the main hall of the Divinity Sectâs main
peak.â
Puzzled, James stood up and asked, âWhat for?â
The Divinity Sectâs disciple said, âI donât know either. There are many people gathered there at the
moment.â
James turned to look at Henry and Delainey, saying, âWait here, Iâll be back soon.â Then, he looked at
the disciple and said, âLetâs go.â
âPlease, follow me.â
With the discipleâs guidance, James headed to the main hall of the Divinity Sectâs main peak.
âPlease enter,â the disciple said.
âMbm.â James nodded and entered the hall.
About a hundred people were gathered in the hall. There, James spotted a few familiar faces the
Welkin Academyâs headmaster, his master, and of course, the Divinity Sectâs Patriarch. However, he
could not recognize the rest.
As James walked in, everyoneâs gaze was fixed on him. Who would have thought that such a young
man would be a Fang of the Demon Race?
Sensing the hostile gazes, James had a bad feeling deep inside. However, he remained expressionless
as he clasped his fists and said, âI heard you were looking for me, Holy Emperor.â
The Divine Holy Emperor who was sitting on the main seat stood up and questioned him, âJames,
answer us truthfully. Are you a member of the Demon Race?â
Hearing this, Jamesâ heartbeat accelerated.
Before he could reply, Yoan stepped forward and said, âDonât be afraid, James. Just tell us the truth. An
innocent man like you has nothing to be afraid of.â
James forcibly calmed himself down and looked at the Divine Holy Emperor, asking, âWhat do you
mean, Holy Emperor? Iâm a disciple of the Welkin Academy, and my master is Sect Elder Yoan
Xenocrates. How could I possibly be a member of the Demon Race? How am I related to them in any
way?â
The Divine Holy Emperor said coldly, âThe fact that Mount Walvern is the location of the Grand
Tournament is a secret that no outsiders would know. However, the Demon Race appeared there and
slaughtered many innocent lives. Based on my investigation, you are a member of the Demon Race.
You were the one who informed them of the location. You were the one who caused countless deaths.â
âHahaha!â James roared in laughter. âPreposterous! How am I even capable of colluding with the
Demon Race? The Demon Race is full of powerful figures, whereas I have only reached the Immortal
Ascension rank. Even if I wish to collude with them, do you think they would take me seriously?â
Then, he pointed at the Divine Holy Emperor and said, âYou, on the other hand, are even more
deserving of suspicion than me. You were the one who determined the Grand Tournamentâs location.
Did you not realize that there was a Demon Race camp at Mount Walvern? Or could it be that you sent
us there to our
deaths? You accuse me of being a member of a Demon Race, but whereâs the evidence to support
your claims? In fact, I think itâs more likely that you were the one who colluded with them!â
Jamesâ voice reverberated throughout the hall.
âPreposterous!â The Divine Holy Emperorâs face darkened as he raised his arm. Powerful energy
gathered in his palm, which sent James flying and collapsed to the ground.
James vomited a mouthful of blood.
The Divine Holy Emperor was strong. However, he did not kill James. He only wished to teach him a
lesson.
Seeing that his disciple was attacked, Yoan stepped forward and reprimanded him, âWhatâs the
meaning of this? How could you resort to violence? Was what he said not valid? You were the one who
determined the Grand Tournamentâs location. Shouldnât you have found out about the Demon Raceâs
camp at Mount Walvern?â
Standing at the top of the main hall, the Divine Holy Emperor said coldly, âIâm merely teaching him a
lesson for disrespecting his elders. Heâs not worthy of questioning me. As for the evidence he
demanded, I wouldnât have come to this conclusion if I donât have any to support my claims.â
