Chapter 2449

A person and two beasts were fighting on the battlefield.

The person was a middle-aged man dressed in a gray robe and holding onto a long sword. His sword

gleamed with deadly energy.

The two beasts, on the other hand, were creatures James had not seen before.

One of the beasts resembled a lizard. It had a long body about a kilometer in length. Its body was

covered in black scales with a pair of black wings growing out of its back.

The other was an enormous orangutan. It was a thousand meters tall and covered in red fur. It had a

ferocious and terrifying appearance.

The three of them fought fiercely in the area. The atmosphere was tense, and their surroundings were

the victims of their blind destruction.

Even though James watched from afar and was protected by Sophie’s energy, he was still shaken by

the scene.

Without Sophie’s protective shield, he would not be able to stand firmly.

“Haah!” Seeing the intense battle ahead of him, James inadvertently gasped.

He asked, “What kind of beasts are those two, Ms. Sophie? Why are they so strong?”

Sophie’s voice flowed from the Celestial Abode. “That’s a Demon Lizard and Demon Orangutan. Both

of them are primordial races. Their strength is at the Divine Rank’s Third Stage. If they were to go all

out, they would destroy the Demon Realm’s Mortal Dimension. However, they’re suppressing their

power and not allowing their strength to affect the entire realm. Otherwise, the Mortal Dimension

would’ve already. ceased to exist by now.”

“What about the human? Who is he?” asked James

Sophie replied, “He’s not exactly human either. Although he has a human appearance, he’s not one of

your kind. Judging from his energy, he is likely from the Demon Race’s Azuream Clan.”

“Is that Marcello’s clan?”

“Mhm. Yeah.”

James and Sophie watched from a distance.

Although Sophie’s physical body was within the Celestial Abode, her consciousness was able to sense

the surroundings on the outside.

“It’s Sword Energy!”

Sophie exclaimed in discovery.

James inquired, “What kind of Sword Energy?”

Sophie explained, “Remember how I once taught you sword techniques and told you it belonged to an

incredible powerhouse? He lived in the Primordial Age and was an Ancestral God.

“I just sensed Sword Energy left behind by this unrivaled powerhouse.”

James immediately understood her implications and said, “So it’s Sword Energy left by an Ancestral

God? No wonder three powerhouses at the Divine Rank’s Third Stair are fighting over it.”

“James.”

“Yeah? I’m listening.”

Sophie said, “You’re about to reach the Mage Rank, and your Yogocara will be related to your past

growths. I’m guessing your Yogocara might be related to the Demonic Lotus or the Five Elements of

Genesis.”

James listened attentively since he knew very little about this stuff.

Sophie continued to speak, “I think you should remain on the path of swordsmanship. How about I

snatch the Sword Energy, and you refine it into your Yogocara?”

“Are you sure it’s feasible?” James was slightly worried.

There were three formidable powerhouses ahead of him.

Moreover, all of them were at the peak of the Divine Rank’s Third Stage and very close to becoming

Grand Emperors.

Could Sophie handle the three of them alone?

Her confident voice echoed from the Celestial Abode, “It shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll make my move

when the three of them are worn out. We’re in no rush. Let’s wait in hiding for now.”

After speaking, she instructed James to retreat from the battlefield.

James listened to her and backed away, staying far from the violent trio.

He lurked around the area and waited for their battle to end.

James was currently in the wilderness of the Demon Realm’s Mortal Dimension.

The three powerhouses fought in the depths of the wilderness, and their overwhelming energy swept

across the Mortal Dimension. The living beings in the Mortal Dimension were terrified and stayed on

the ground. None of them dared to move, fearing the force would tear their bodies apart.

Even the powerhouses in the Sage and Divine Dimensions could sense the battle.
