Chapter 2514

After helping James out once more, a Scythe of Judgment appeared before Sophie. Faced against a

Scythe of Judgment, even a Grand Emperor would be annihilated. However, in the nick of time, Winnie

appeared.

Sensing that Sophie was in danger, Winnie materialized the Scythe of Judgment inside her body and

blocked the one attacking Sophie. After blocking the attack, the Scythe of Judgment that attacked

Sophie vanished.

Sophie’s face was pale. Though she knew about the consequences, she could not help but feel fearful

as she stared death in the eye.

Fortunately, Winnie saved her.

Sophie sat in a lotus position on the ground and wiped the sweat bead off her forehead, speaking in a

feeble voice, “Thank you, Winnie.”

Winnie walked over to her. After so many years, the young girl from before had become a gorgeous

beauty just like her mother.

Upon seeing Sophie’s injuries, Winnie asked, “What happened, Aunt Sophie?”

“N-Nothing…” Sophie said.

That was a close one. If Winnie had not arrived in time, she would have been killed by the Scythe of

Judgment. At the same time, she was puzzled. The Adjudicators had long disappeared, so why would

there be a Scythe of Judgment? Who did it belong to?

“Aunt Sophie, when are we leaving this place? All we do here is cultivate non-stop. I’m almost bored to

death,” Winnie complained.

Ever since James brought her to the Celestial Abode, she had not left it. Now that decades had

passed, she had enough of this place.

Sophie said, “There’s no need to rush things. Once James returns to Earth, you’ll be able to leave. I’m

injured, so I need to enter a closed-door meditation. I might not leave meditation for quite some time.”

After she spoke, she stood up and left with her battered body.

Jams had no idea that Sophie almost met her end by extrapolating for him. If not for Winnie, she would

have been dead.

James was puzzled.

As his mind stirred, the Demonic Lotus appeared before him. This was a black lotus with nine petals

that contained immense power. The lotus was able to devour everything and transform them into

power. However, as this was simply too overpowered, James seldom sued it.

“What does this Demonic Lotus have to do with Xandros? How does it show me the way?”

James was puzzled.

“Sophie, how do you know that the Demonic Lotus can help me find Xandros?” James asked.

However, no one responded.

He was puzzled.

Then, his mind stirred, and he entered the Celestial Abode.

The moment he entered the Celestial Abode, he spotted Winnie who was daydreaming in the courtyard

of the City Lord’s Mansion.

James had not been here for many years. When he last came here with Winnie, she was still a young

girl.

Now that he met her once more, her appearance resembled that of Thea’s. At that moment, he mistook

her for Thea and called out to her, “Thea.”

Hearing this, Winnie turned her head.

“Dad!”

When she saw James, she excitedly rushed toward him and leaped into his embrace.

James collected himself and said smiling, “You’re all grown up, Winnie. I almost couldn’t recognize

you.”

Winnie let go of him and said with a bright smile on her face, “Yes, decades have passed. I’m not just

an adult now. I’m close to becoming a middle-aged woman.”

James chuckled and said, “Not at all. This is the era of cultivation. We can’t measure human lifespan

based on the past.”

Then, he changed the subject and asked, “By the way, where’s Sophie?”

“Aunt Sophie?” Winnie said, “She just entered a closed-door meditation.”

“What happened?” James asked, confused.

Winnie said, “I don’t know either. Just a moment ago, I saw Aunt Sophie lying on the ground covered in

blood. There was a bizarrely-shaped scythe in front of her. It looked exactly like mine, just with different

colors. I immediately summoned my scythe and blocked the other scythe’s attack. Then, the scythe

attacking Aunt Sophie vanished.”
