Chapter 2678
The Almighty Dragon General
James learned from Walganus that the Earthâs Third Calamity was related to curses.
However, Walganus did not know the exact details of the Third Calamity.
Thus, James turned to Sophie in the Celestial Abode for answers.
âMs. Sophie, is the Earthâs Third Calamity really related to curses?â asked James.
Soon, Sophieâs voice came from the Celestial Abode.
âI can only sense that the Third Calamity is about to happen. Itâll most definitely happen within ten
years. However, I canât tell what kind of calamity it will be.â
âTen years?â
James felt his chest tighten.
Ten years may seem like a long time, but it was actually not much.
To powerful cultivators, ten years passed in the blink of an eye.
James took a deep breath.
He would have to obtain the Crepe Myrtle Divine Sword and Sangriaâs Imperial Jade
Seal and lift Sangriaâs Curse as well as Galileoâs seal within ten years.
James was doubtful of whether he could accomplish all these things within ten years.
He did not have the confidence.
Walganusâ voice came from beside him. âYou canât be so laid back on this matter anymore, James. You
have to start doing your best.
âDonât you know what the Earthâs Four Calamities mean?
âThe Heavenly Path is trying to exterminate humans, and most humans live on Earth.
Thus, the Four Calamities were placed on Earth to wipe out humankind.
âEarthâs Four Calamities is humanityâs most significant survival challenge.
âThe Calamities are only going to get worse.
âThe First Calamity was aimed at ordinary humans.
âThe Second Calamity was aimed at human cultivators. Seals were placed in all humans, becoming a
great obstacle to overcome in every breakthrough to every cultivation rank. At the same time, the non-
human races were given benefits to rise, and many of them plotted to attack Earth.
âFortunately, you resolved the calamity and prevented the non-human races â attack on Earth.
âThe Third Calamity will happen very soon, and it will be much more terrifying than the previous two
calamities. It isnât going to be as simple as just seals on the human body.
âYou donât have much time left.â
Walganusâ voice rang in Jamesâ ears.
James looked at him and asked, âWhat do you suggest we do?â
Walganus thought for a while and said, âI think we canât stay here any longer. Our top priority is to head
over to the Blade Sect, find the Crepe Myrtle Divine Sword, and leave with it as soon as possible.â
James said solemnly, âBut, the Seafolk has potent divine objects that make them immune to this
worldâs curse.
âWeâve no idea how many years the Blade Sectâs founder has lived. His cultivation rank must be at an
unfathomable height. How are we going to snatch the Crepe Myrtle Divine Sword?â
Walganus fell into thought.
After a while, he said, âOur only choice is to head to the Blade Sect and use the Crepe Myrtle Sword
Pavilionâs name to try and claim it back. If that doesnât work, we can always think of a better plan. What
do you think?â
Walganus looked at James.
James nodded and said, âMhm. That seems like the only plan for now.â
Their only option was to head to the Blade Sect, find the founder, and try to claim the sword in the
name of the Crepe Myrtle Sword Pavilion.
âWe canât delay this matter any longer. Letâs leave right away,â said Walganus.
James nodded and said, âAlright. Iâll see the Blade Sectâs Elder first and ask him to give me a token or
something for identification to ensure we get into the Blade Sect smoothly.â
âAlright. Iâll wait for you in the city. Weâll leave right after you get a token from him.â
Walganus gently waved his hand.
James did not stay any longer. He quickly left for the City Lordâs Mansion and met with the Blade Sectâs
Elder.
