Chapter 2691
The Almighty Dragon General
âAlright, then.â
Yanina reminded, âBe careful, alright?â
After a brief discussion, they went their separate ways and returned to their own rooms.
The airship remained on its course.
In the blink of an eye, six months passed. The airship had left the high seas and was now heading in
the direction of Sangria.
As Yanina did not wish to risk her life, she decided against continuing on the journey.
Hence, she hopped off the airship halfway before they reached their destination.
The Blademaster of Mount Grinch who was controlling the steering wheel steered the airship forward in
the direction of Korinth as they had to traverse Korinth to reach the Barren Wasteland.
Soon, the airship was in the skies of Korinth. After traversing the country, they headed in the direction
of the Barren Wasteland.
Another six months passed.
Six months later, the airship arrived at a desolate area.
The airship stopped. On the deck stood three people-an elderly man and two youngsters.
The Blademaster of Mount Grinch pointed straight ahead and said, âWeâre now approaching the Barren
Wasteland. Rumors say that the place is extremely huge.
However, since Iâve never been here before, I have no idea how huge it truly is.â James looked straight
ahead.
Before him was a plain with no end in sight. The plain was devoid of any plants, and the ground was
pitted and uneven. In the sky, dark clouds gathered above the horizon, causing the area to seem more
oppressive and desolate than before. Furrowing his eyebrows, Walganus said, âThe Barren Wasteland
is too big. How are we supposed to find the Imperial Jade Seal here? Besides, why would the Imperial
Jade Seal be here in the first place?â
James shrugged and said, âHow would I know?â
Walganus said, âBe honest with me, James. How do you know if the Imperial Jade Seal is really here?
Could your information be inaccurate?â
James said firmly, âThe Imperial Jade Seal is here. As for how I learned of the information, thatâs none
of your concern. Letâs head deeper into the Barren Wasteland.â
The Blademaster of Mount Grinch said, âFor safetyâs sake, letâs not ride on the airship from here
onward.â
âMhm.â
âSure.â
James and Walganus nodded.
Then, they got off the airship while the Blademaster stored the airship away.
The three began to traverse the desolate plains by flying at an average speed. After flying for half a
day, Walganus suddenly stopped.
James stopped as well and looked at him, asking, âWhatâs wrong?â
âThe power of the curseâ¦â Walganus frowned and said.
James froze before asking, âWhat do you mean?â
Walganus said, âThe terrifying power of the curse is here.â
âWhat are you talking about? Donât keep us guessing,â James said.
The Blademaster was intrigued as well. However, after sensing his surroundings, he could not sense
any power of the curse. He looked at Walganus puzzledly and awaited his response.
After brief contemplation, Walganus said, âI once encountered a living being who cultivated Curse
Magic. The aura he exuded is identical to the power Iâm sensing here.â
James froze momentarily before asking, âAre you saying thereâs a human or some sort of living being
here who practices Curse Magic?â
Walganus shook his head. âI canât be sure.â
