Chapter 3138

The Almighty Dragon General

The battle this time could be considered a complete victory. They had completely destroyed the

Sanctuary of Darkness at a minuscule cost.

The only regret was that Tamuuz had escaped.

Following the battle, the Elixir Pavilion began to tally the Elixir Realm’s casualties.

Although some sects and families of the Elixir Realm had left with their disciples before the battle

began, there were some who did not. Those who did not leave were caught up in the battle, and they

all died in it.

While tallying the casualties, the Elixir Pavilion also began its reconstruction.

Rebuilding the Elixir Pavilion was not a big deal to them, as all Elixir Pavilion cultivators were extremely

powerful. It was too easy to reconstruct the Elixir Pavilion.

Before rebuilding the Elixir Pavilion, the Elixir Pavilion first repaired an underground prison and

imprisoned the Sanctuary of Darkness cultivators who had been captured there.

James was eager to get some leads about the Sanctuary of Darkness.

In the underground prison, James went to the prison cell where the Chancellor was being held first.

James looked at the Chancellor.

The Chancellor currently had unkempt hair and appeared wretched. His face was wrinkled, with only a

layer of skin remaining. Even his bones were visible.

James walked into the cell. When the Chancellor saw James appear, he could not help but tremble. He

was truly beaten to the point of trauma.

“We meet again.” James waved his hand casually, and a chair appeared. He sat in the chair, looking at

the Chancellor, who was on the verge of death on the ground and smiled faintly.

The Chancellor stared at James.

James said nonchalantly, “You’re probably aware of what happens when you fall into my hands. If I

want you to die, you won’t be able to live through tomorrow.”

The Chancellor looked at James and took a deep breath. He was aware of the Sanctuary of Darkness’

demise.

When the Sanctuary of Darkness besieged the Elixir Pavilion this time, far too many powerful

cultivators were dispatched. Except for the most enigmatic Master, nearly the entire force was

dispatched. Nonetheless, the entire army was defeated.

“What do you want to know?” The Chancellor asked.

James smiled. He did not expect the Chancellor to be so pragmatic.

“I want to know all the secrets of the Sanctuary of Darkness.”

The Chancellor started to ponder. After quite a while, he finally said, “I also don’t know much about the

Sanctuary of Darkness.”

“You don’t know?” James furrowed his brow.

The Chancellor said hurriedly, “I don’t know much.”

“Then what do you know?” James asked.

The Chancellor said, “I’ve been a member of the Sanctuary of Darkness for quite some time. Since I’m

proficient in the Extrapolation Path, I became the Chancellor of the Sanctuary of Darkness and assisted

the Sanctuary of Darkness in strategizing and planning.

“I only know that the Sanctuary of Darkness is a force from the Primeval Age.”

The Chancellor started to get lost in his thoughts. After some time, he finally continued, “During the

Primeval Age, a world-shaking event occurred in the universe. Human Ancestral Gods wanted to

destroy the Heavenly Path and establish a new system.

“The Sanctuary of Darkness came into being during that time period. In my understanding, the first

Master of the Sanctuary of Darkness was a Heaven’s Adjudicator.”

Upon hearing that, James was shocked. The Sanctuary of Darkness was indeed targeting him, just as

he had suspected.

The Chancellor went on, “The first Master of the Sanctuary of Darkness was a Heaven’s Adjudicator.

Back then, the Boundless Realm was sealed off, and the influence of the Sanctuary of Darkness

invaded the Boundless Realm unnoticed.

“As to why the Sanctuary of Darkness wanted to infiltrate the Boundless Realm, I have no idea.”

After listening up until this point, James asked, “Last time, in the Eidolon Realm’s Cursed World, which

prominent figure was the Sanctuary of Darkness making a fuss about trying to resurrect?”

The Chancellor shook his head slightly and said, “I-I’m not sure. I only know that it was an extremely

powerful cultivator of the Sanctuary of Darkness. If my guess is correct, they should be a Heaven’s

Adjudicator.”

“What other secrets do you know about the Sanctuary of Darkness?”
