A loud sound was heard. James stood upright in the void, resisting the scary strike from Gutierre using

his Elemental Body. He was uninjured. His body merely staggered backward due to the reverberation

of this puissant blow.

After staggering backward for a certain distance, he dispersed the power and gently patted his chest.

“That’s all you’ve got, I see.” He smiled.

“This is getting interesting.” Gutierre reciprocated the smile.

This time, James went on the offensive. He appeared before Gutierre in the blink of an eye and

continuously attacked Gutierre’s vulnerabilities. Yet, each consecutive blow was casually avoided by

Gutierre.

The two moved so rapidly that the living beings of the Grand Emperor Rank could not even see their

movements, but merely two silhouettes entangling and disentangling with the other in the void.

Thump! Each time they came to grips with the other, the void would explode. Fortunately, the shattered

space could be repaired and stabilized by the mystical power of Mount Heavenly Path.

The two exchanged tens of thousands of strikes in a short amount of time. While James’ style was to

attack the vulnerability of his opponent, Gutierre’s style was to avoid them at each count while also

reciprocating each blow when able, pushing James backward.

Yet, James’ shield was too fearsome, for everything that Gutierre sent out was absorbed by the

Elemental Path Seal. As long as the Seals were intact, James could not be injured.

They came to grips once more, and James flew across the void. His body spun around for a full circle

before he could stabilize himself in mid-air. He looked at Gutierre and smiled widely, “I see that the

second runner-up of the Martial Ranking also has his limits.”

“You have some tricks up your sleeve,” The corner of Gutierre’s lips upturned ever so slightly.

“You’ve proven that you have powers beyond the ordinary. You’ve just barely made me want to be

serious in this battle.”

James knew that Gutierre had not exposed his capacities fully. He was merely testing the waters

before this, just like himself. It was just that James also knew that Gutierre was not his final opponent.

There were still another two powerful figures who have yet to show themselves.

If Herschel was determined to take his life, even after he successfully defeated—or even killed Gutierre

—the top two of the Martial Ranking would certainly make their appearance.

His true abilities must only be revealed at the very end.

At a distance, an uncanny energy emanated from Gutierre’s body. As the energy accumulated, each

strand of his long hair stood upright. A magnetic field materialized, destabilizing space and time. Time

Within the battleground, James could sense the accumulation of this uncanny energy, which dissipated

Upon hearing the powerful figures muttering in the distance, James murmured, “What is the

Omniscience Path? Is it really that awesome?”
