James stood up and loosened his muscles.

Herschel issued a death order.

“Got it,” answered Quinn Zalesky before asking, “Shouldn’t my brother fight against him first? Why am I

fighting him first?”

With a dark expression, Herschel responded, “Gutierre has already admitted defeat. I’m afraid Jackson

won’t be his match, so I’m sending you directly. You can’t admit defeat. If James doesn’t die, you’re the

one who’ll die. Do you understand?”

“I understand.”

Then, Quinn disappeared from the main hall.

Glancing at Herschel, Thea could tell that he was panicking. Her confusion grew as she had no idea

why Herschel was adamant about killing James.

What kind of unresolvable grudge was there between Herschel and James?

Outside Mount Heavenly Path, a man was advancing slowly. Each step he took left a footprint. At this
