Chapter 385
The Almighty Dragon General
James was constantly on the lookout for windows of opportunities to strike his enemy down. In just an
hour, he had taken down thirty helicopters.
At the moment, there was only a handful of them left.
Without the spotlight threatening to expose his location, James found it easier to move around. He was
able to rush through the encampments and slowly made his way toward Mt. Thunder.
At five oâclock in the morning, James reached the top of the mountain.
The central command was guarded by only a few hundred men. The main force was in the mountains
looking for James.
James pulled out a machine gun with a silencer and opened fire.
The men dropped like flies. At the same time, in central commandâ¦
The generals from the twenty-eight nations were in a heated discussion. âGeneral McDonald, weâve
lost the Black Dragonâs trail.â âHe hasnât shown himself for over an hour.â âWhere is he hiding?â The
room was abuzz with discussion about the Black Dragonâs whereabouts.

âThereâs no way he has left the Mt. Thunder Pass.â âHe should still be hidden in this area. We should
stay on our guard and wait until daybreak.â All of a sudden, there was a blackout in the central
command.
âWhatâs going on?â
Ferdinand ordered, âQuick, go have a look!â
At that moment, the door was pushed open. A man in a camouflage uniform walked in. His face was
colored with dye, and he held a machine gun in his hands. âSorry to keep you waiting, good sirs.â
His voice was cold and callous.
âB-Black Dragon!?â The pitch-black room was filled with the sound of surprised exclamations and
chairs being knocked over.
The Black Dragon was here in the central command at the top of Mt. Thunder. Wasnât he surrounded?
How did he break through it and make his way here? James reached for the back of his waist and
grabbed a handful of silver needles. Then, he threw them with great force.
Everyone in the room was incapacitated. They collapsed to the floor and lay motionless. After subduing
them, James walked out and switched on the generator. Light immediately filled the room.
He walked back in.
Around twenty men lay in the room.
They all wore horrified expressions. They wanted to move. Yet, their bodies refused to cooperate.
James walked in, grabbed a chair, and sat on it. Then he lit the cigar on the table and smoked it while
fixing his gaze on the generals.
âOh, wow!â
James chuckled at the sight of all these familiar faces. âHow bold of you! I guess I was being too lenient
back then.â He let out a loud, hearty, laugh. The generalsâ faces went pale.
They had lost.
It was a complete and devastating loss.
All twenty-eight fighters from twenty-eight different nations were killed even as they barraged the Black
Dragon all at once.
Most of the hundred-thousand soldiers pursuing the Black Dragon were killed. Finally, he broke through
their encirclement and headed straight toward the central command.
Now, only death awaited the ones left in the room.
Smoking his cigar, James looked at the generals and interrogated them with a steely voice,â Iâll you
guys a chance to live if you give me the information I want. Whoâs the one behind the scenes? Whoâs
targeting me?â âJust cut to the chase and kill us already.â Ferdinand replied defiantly.
James looked at him.
âFerdinand, it was your brotherâs fault for ambushing the Black Dragon army and causing the death of
many of my comrades-in-arms. I didnât expect you to repeat the same mistake.â
James approached him and lifted Ferdinand by his collar.
âDo you really think I wonât kill you?â âH-Have mercy, Black Dragon! The border is at peace, and youâre
no longer the Black Dragon General. If you kill him, a war could break out.â
âIs that so?â, James sneered.
Immediately, his face darkened. He grabbed Ferdinandâs neck and curled his fingers around it
forcefully.
Ferdinandâs neck let out a sharp snap, and he died before he could say anything else.
He then tossed Ferdinandâs body aside like a rag doll. He looked at the generals who were shivering in
fear and said coldly, âEven if I have resigned, that doesnât mean Iâm going to let myself be pushed
around by a bunch of nobodies like you. Since youâve decided to mobilize your army, you should have
prepared yourselves for the aftermath.â
âIâll ask again. Whoâs the one giving you your orders?â
Jamesâ roar reverberated throughout the room.
His roar sapped whatever courage the generals had left.
