outside Xerxes’ room.

Sienna walked over and joined him. “What do you think about this matter?”

James’ expression was unusually solemn.

He had fought against unknown creatures. Although he was stronger than them, they were very

bizarre. They did not have distinctive auras and would be difficult opponents in a fierce fight.

James took out the black mist he had caught when his opponent tried to return into mist form.

Sienna asked, “What is this?”

James looked at the sealed black mist in his palm and said slowly, “I caught this when fighting with the

creature in the Unknown Region. I struck him, and it returned into a black mist, so I quickly grabbed

some of it. Unfortunately, I’m unable to study it in the Dark World. After I return to the Illuminated World,

I’ll be able to find out what it is.”

James wanted to return to the Illuminated World immediately. However, he had already found clues

about Jabari’s whereabouts. After he inquired more information from Xerxes, he would head into the

Ecclesiastical Restricted Zone to find Jabari.

Jabari had learned some information from the messages Yukia left behind. James was confident he

would know more after finding Jabari.

Sienna sighed and said, “If Xerxes’ information is true, then we know too little about the twelve

universes and Dark World.”

James also sighed and said, “Yeah. There seems to be a veil covering the truth. Only by uncovering

this veil will I finally be able to get to the truth.”

The two chatted, discussing Xerxes’ words, the unknown creatures, and the restricted areas in the

Dark World.

creatures appeared after I found and unsealed my ancestor’s notes. They attacked me by surprise, and

I got injured since I didn’t have my guard up.”

After speaking, Xerxes glanced at James.

“I have the same doubts. If my ancestor died, who left behind these notes? And why was there a seal

on his notes? I have a feeling these notes were not left by my ancestor.

“According to our family’s records, our ancestor never came out after entering the depths of the

Unknown Region. It’s impossible for him to have left behind these notes.”

Xerxes expressed his opinion.
