James still did not know anything about his opponent and still had many questions about him.

Thus, he did not rush in before understanding his opponent better.

The Devouring Demon’s face grew serious. He quickly ordered the twelve death spirits. “Kill them!

Leave none of them alive.”

The twelve death spirits immediately charged as soon as the command was issued. The creatures

behind James had already unleashed their auras and were prepared to fight to the bitter end.

James shouted, “If you don’t want to die, get away from me now!”

His exclamation was deafening. Those behind him felt their eardrums ring from the volume.

Yente said anxiously, “What are you trying to do, Wyot? Are you thinking of fighting all of them alone?

The twelve death spirits are at the Eternal Boundless Rank. Meanwhile, the mysterious powerhouse is

a Terra Acmean with a Terra Acmean God Weapon.”

James ignored her. Instead, he used his Chaos Power to form an energy shield temporarily deflecting

the twelve

death spirits. After buying the rest some time, James looked at Deshawn and told him, “Lead them

somewhere safe for now. Leave the rest to me.”

Deshawn refused, saying, “Who are you kidding? I admit you’re powerful, Wyot and I know you even

have supreme Chaos Power.

You were able to subdue the death spirits despite only being a Quasi Acmean. However, you have an

additional opponent, a Terra Acmean with a Terra Acmean God Weapon. You think too highly of

yourself if you think you can handle this alone!”

“Shut up, and leave now if you want to survive! If you insist on dying then, go ahead and stay to fight.”

While they were busy bickering, the shield that James had set up with Chaos Power shattered.

Deshawn immediately turned to the rest. “Follow me!”

Since James wanted to take center stage at a time like this, Deshawn decided to let him be. He quickly

led the creatures to the formation’s border. He planned to breach the formation and get everyone out of

the Sky Islands.

The Devouring Demon had too many weapons at his disposal, and he could easily wipe out a powerful

race. No one wanted to stay behind to fight, and they quickly evacuated with Deshawn.

He did not bother chasing after them. They were merely Quasi Acmeans and could not decode the

mysterious formation around the Sky Islands.

Once he dealt with Wyot, he could get rid of them in a snap. Moreover, the formation secluded them

from the outside. Thus, he did not have to worry that his secrets would be revealed to others.

After the other creatures evacuated, James was left to face the enemies on his own. The twelve death

spirits instantly surrounded him. However, the Devouring Demon did not immediately ask them to kill

James. Instead, he slowly approached step by step.

“You have tremendous potential, Wyot. You’ve cultivated pure Chaos Power and can subdue my death

spirits that are at the Eternal Boundless Rank despite only being a Quasi Acmean yourself.

If you were to enter the Permanace Acme Rank, you’d definitely become one of the most powerful

cultivators in the Greater Realms. With even more time, I’m sure you’ll overshadow the rest.”

After praising his efforts, the Devouring Demon stretched out his hand and demanded, “Hand it over.”

James replied calmly, “What do you want?”

James frowned. He did not respond and began to formulate a plan. At the same time, he was trying to

buy more time for the escaping creatures. The other creatures escaped a huge distance away.

When they were safe, Yente spoke up and said, “Are you sure we did the right thing? We escaped,

leaving only Wyot behind. If he dies, there’s no chance we’ll make it out alive. We should head back

and fight together. If we unite, we

might stand a chance against the Devouring Demon.”

“Yente, are you in love with Wyot? He insisted on taking them alone, so why should we interfere?”
