Giving the terms some consideration, he nodded and said,” Fine, do it.”

He gave the deal a lot of thought and came to the conclusion that it was worth the sacrifice. Even if his

soul was bound by a sigil, he would not die as long as he stayed loyal to Wyot. Once his soul was

cleansed, he would gain complete control over his body and would not have to worry about being

overthrown by the souls within him.

The Devouring Demon urged James. “Let’s get started with it.”

“Alright.” James nodded.

James briefly explained a number of precautions for the process. Then, he set up a time formation

around the two of them. The Devouring Demon sat in a lotus position while James stood behind him.

“When the Ignis enters your body, it may singe your flesh a little. I’ll control its power to ensure you’re

not completely incinerated. Meanwhile, you’ll need to safeguard your own soul during this process. The

Ignis might damage it slightly, but it’ll be fine as long as you can protect it well.”

James explained the procedure.

“I’m ready.” The Devouring Demon took a deep breath. He was fully prepared for what was to come.

James walked in front of him, raised his hand, and a white flame emerged from his palm. He slowly

sent the flames toward the Devouring Demon.

The Devouring Demon felt scorching heat as the white flames approached him. The flames entered his

body through his pores. Unable to withstand the inferno, a large portion of his flesh was badly burned.

However, the Devouring Demon gritted his teeth through the pain. The flames flowed through the

Devouring Demon’s body and began burning away the other souls within him.

Throughout this time, excruciating pain wracked the Devouring Demon’s body.

His face contorted, and droplets of blood trickled down his forehead. His body was also covered from

head to toe in severe burns and injuries. However, James controlled the flame, ensuring it did not

incinerate the Devouring Demon’s physical body.

in agony as they met their ends.
