Now that the Death Demon’s soul had been restored and made whole, he could return to being a

powerful Terra Acmean once he recuperated and recovered his strength.

Many creatures were baffled by what they saw.

James quickly headed toward the group of creatures.

Yente rushed over to him and questioned him. “What happened? Are you alright? Why did you guys

end up fighting again?”

James teasingly replied, “Is that worry I hear in your voice? Have you finally fallen for me?”

His remarks turned her cheeks red as she hurriedly denied.” O-Of course not! You promised to protect

my family. That’s why I…”

“Alright, alright. I get it.” James stopped her.

He turned to the other creatures. Everyone was watching him closely, awaiting his explanation.

James smiled and said, “That monster was too vile. I felt couldn’t possibly keep a loose cannon by my

side. As

I purified his soul, I took advantage of his vulnerable state and destroyed him. By the time he realized,

it was already too late. I quickly retreated, and he destroyed my formation. His soul was completely

obliterated as soon as he broke my formation.”

James’ words described the scene they saw. Thus, everyone believed James’ explanation.

Even Deshawn could not find anything amiss. Since Deshawn had not mastered the various Paths of

heaven and earth, he could not discern that the scene was an illusion created by James.

Leilani stepped forward and asked, “Were you injured?”

James replied and began to let out horrible coughs. Blood gushed out of his mouth. In the previous

battle, he was struck by the Light of Acme and was severely injured. He had been suppressing the

injuries since then. Now that things were resolved, he had reached his limit. As soon as he stopped

curbing his injuries, they immediately worsened.

A powerful force surged out from his body and devastated him. His Blood Energy churned, and blood

spewed out of his mouth.

James immediately sat in a lotus position and began cultivating to heal his injuries.

The other creatures watched from the side.

Some creatures quietly walked over to Deshawn. One of

them said telepathically, “Wyot got rid of that monster and is severely injured right now. This is the

perfect chance to get rid of him. Let’s attack him while he’s treating his wounds. If we kill him, this

competition and the Chaos Sacred Lotus will be ours.”
