Chapter 4655

James spotted the four students from the Tempris House. The group of them was cheering him on from

the audience in high spirits.

“Watch out for the Caelandor. The sword once belonged to Sir Lothar,” Wael muttered to James in a

low voice.

James gave a slight nod. Then, he teleported and reappeared on one side of the arena. The other

woman teleported to the other side of the arena right opposite James.

Her long, black hair fell over her back. Even though her face was expressionless all this time, she still

exuded an aura of grace and elegance.

‘Who do you think will win the battle?”

‘Wynona Yurro, of course! She’s a legend in the Verde Academy. The Headmaster highly values her

abilities and even gifted her the Caelandor Sword.”

“We haven’t seen her join any battles for epochs. I wonder how much she has grown in terms of power

and skills.”

“She must have improved way ahead of her peers by manyfold after having trained on the Boundless

Rock for so long. I think only the senior students may stand a chance against her in battle.”

“Nevertheless, James doesn’t seem like an easy opponent.” On the other hand, several male students

were on their feet and cheering for Wynona.

‘You can do it, Wynona!”

“Show him what you’ve got!”

Although the sounds of people cheering and chattering filled the arena, the tension between James

and Wynona continued to build up as they stared at each other.

James appeared calm and composed as he stood with his hands on his back. Neither Wynona’s

beauty nor her reputation in the Verde Academy had affected him in the slightest.

‘You can start first.”

James heard the lady speak for the very first time. He gestured with one hand and said politely, “I

believe it’s only right that I let the lady take the first move.”

‘I know both of us are currently at the same cultivation rank. I heard that she had achieved the

Boundless state in the Quasi Acme Rank. Moreover, she perfected the Boundless state in the

Permanence Acme Rank even more than I did.

‘Still, I’m pretty confident about my powers. I can defeat almost any opponent within and below the

Permanence Acme Rank.’ James thought.

“Ha!” Wynona chuckled softly. The lady reacted as though she had heard a silly joke from James. Just

then, the hem of Wynona’s skirt swayed a little even though the wind was not blowing.

She had not moved an inch. However, an immense wave of aura radiated from Wynona and headed in

James’ direction. Her aura was so powerful and destructive that it crushed the space along its

trajectory.

Normally, the ordinary Caelum Acme Rank cultivators would not be able to destroy space with their

auras alone in the central areas of the Verde District. That was because these places were maintained

by very strong and stable Heavenly Paths.

To everyone’s amazement, Wynona had displayed auras that were strong enough to do that.

“What an incredible aura!”

“As expected of Wynona Yorru! It seems all that time she’s spent training on the Boundless Rock has

paid off extremely well!”

Expressions of joy and approval could be seen on the elders’ faces. They took pride in witnessing the

birth of a genius cultivator like Wynona among the students of the Verde Academy.

On the other hand, James merely stared at Wynona as her aura washed over him. He did not try to

shield himself or deflect Wynona’s aura with another attack. Even though the space around him started

crumbling due to the impact, James appeared fine and completely unscathed.

“Aren’t you going too easy on me, Ms. Wynona? I wouldn’t be standing here today if this level of attack

was enough to harm me.”

James took a few steps forward. As he was moving, the space around him was miraculously restored

to its original state through the powers of James’ Paths.

“Interesting.” A faint smile played across Wynona’s lips.
