Chapter 476
The Almighty Dragon General
James was not worried about the medical conference at all.
Getting the title of Asclepius was a piece of cake for him. The only thing on his mind right now was to
think of a way not to stand out too much.
Jamesâ words calmed Thea down. She had pinned all of her hopes on James. If James could not help
navigate the Callahans through this crisis, the family would be doomed. They would be consigned to
mediocrity for the rest of their lives. Night-time came. The family was having dinner.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
A knock came from outside.
James stood up and answered the door.
Lex, Howardâs, and Johnâs families were standing outside.
Seeing this, James frowned and asked, âWhatâs wrong, grandpa?â
âSighâ¦â Lex sighed tiredly, âWeâll talk inside.â
âPlease come in.â
James beckoned Lex to enter the house.
Seeing that the Callahans were here, Gladysâ face immediately turned sour.
âHave a seat, father.â Benjamin stood up and greeted Lex. He asked, âHave you eaten yet? Should I
ask James to get you some cutlery?â

âCutlery?â Gladys remarked coldly, âThereâs no way we can feed that many mouths.â
There were too many of them. Howardâs and Johnâs families combined together for a total of around
twenty people.
Lex took a seat. The others remained standing. James asked, âDidnât I lend you a million dollars? Why
didnât you go looking for a place to stay?â
Wearing a weary expression, Lex said dejectedly, âThe Watsons and the Xenoses have prepared for
this. Weâve gone through many estate agencies, but upon hearing that we are the Callahans, they
refused service to us. The same goes for hotels and the like.â
âItâs all because of you, Thea.â Megan pointed at Thea and shouted, âIf not for you crossing the
Watsons, this wouldnât have happened in the first place. You are such a blight on the Carnily.â
Megan had long despised Thea.
All because of Thea, the Callahans were in a crisis. Her boyfriend broke up with her. She was forced to
move out of the Callahansâ villa and live on the streets. She could not even afford to take a hot shower.
Tommy chimed in, âB*tch! You think youâre so glamorous and all that just because Mr. Watson took a
liking to you? If you didnât mess with the Watsons, this wouldnât have happened!â
The other Callahans joined in.
They hurled their vitriolic words at Thea. Thea hung her head in shame and remained silent.
She was well aware that it was because of her that things turned out this way.
âEnough!â James roared.
Tommy stepped forward and pointed at James, âYou think weâre afraid of you, trash? Youâre just a son-
in-law of the Callahans. What right do you have to speak to me like this?â James stood up and slapped
Tommy across the face.
Smack!
The sound was loud and crisp.
âYouâ¦! â
Holding his face, he pointed at James. He clenched his fists furiously and prepared for a fight,â Iâll kill
you!â
âEnough.â Lex admonished him, âWeâve got enough trouble on our hands.â
Tommy stopped himself from hitting James and shot daggers at him.
James huffed and looked at the Callahans.
âThe Watsons and the Xenoses are definitely taking things too far by trying to block the Callahansâ
access to accommodation, but the Callahans are a big family. You should have other relatives. Why
donât you stay over at their places? Why come knocking on our door in the middle of the night?â
Jamesâ irritation was rising.
Although this was the result of Theaâs actions, she had no other options. Besides, he had been
benevolent enough to give Lex a million dollars for their daily needs.
