Chapter 5371

The Almighty Dragon General

“What's that?” “T’ve never heard of it.” “T have no clue either.” The men were members of the Four

Ancient Races, which were the strongest primeval groups in the Dark World.

They had almost all the information on the latest and major happenings occurring in the Dark World.

Nonetheless, none of them had heard of this Theognostos.

In truth, James just made up a story about it.

As he glanced around those confused faces, James began, “None of you would have heard of the

Temple of Theognostos before.

It is the base for my people, a secretive Primeval Race that originates from the Dark World.

However, my people remain mostly within our territory.

Therefore, it is only natural you haven't heard about the Temple of Theognostos.” Yui fixed James with

an intense gaze.

He could sense that James had only entered the late stage of Petit Celestial Rank.

However, Yui could also tell that James possessed extraordinary powers in terms of his physical body.

Yui was also intrigued by the story regarding Theognostos.

He asked, “Where is this Theognostos that you’re talking about located? Also, what is the name of your

race or people?” “How impertinent of you!” Latrusse took a step forward and barked, “Do you think you

have the right to ask about Theognostos?” “Why you...” Yui could feel his anger boiling over upon being

reprimanded by Latrusse.

James intervened, saying, “Step back.

I will handle this.” Latrusse scoffed inwardly at James’ brilliant acting as their fake leader.

Still, he kept a straight face and followed James’ instructions.

James said smilingly, “I hope you won’t mind his short temper.

Pardon me, but I can’t tell you where Theognostos is or the name of our race.

However, I can share with you the reason why I have chosen this place.” Those from the Four Ancient

Races kept their eyes on James.

They still had no clue what Theognostos was.

However, James had several competent cultivators on his side, and that indicated the quality of

manpower that Theognostos had.

Therefore, Yui and the others chose to observe the situation a bit longer.

“In our language, Theognostos means transcendental.

My father chose the name as he said that it represented the powers and abilities that our people have.

In his opinion, we are the ones out of the many Primevals of the Dark World and the other beings of the

outside world who deserve to use the name Theognostos.” James was a natural at making these far-

fetched stories sound convincing.

He pointed at Qairo.

“My father created this puppet to protect me.

Before I left home, my father told me having this puppet alone was enough to ensure my safety.

No matter who my enemies were, he could fend off almost any cultivator or Primeval members from

across the Dark World.” The people from the Four Ancient Races did not doubt Qairo’s capabilities

since the man had single-handedly defeated three elders from the Yeftero Race.

Also, they finally realized why something felt strange about Qairo as it turned out he was a puppet.

James walked over to Qairo.

He looked at the man and gave a small sigh.

“Originally, my father wanted to give him a complete soul and make him into a real being.

However, this puppet reached the peak of Quasi Transcendental Bliss Rank and possessed

exceptional powers.

If he became a true being that possessed his own free will and emotions, there might be a risk of him

turning against me.” James continued, “Since that could be a threat to my safety, my father decided to

imbue in him an incomplete soul.

That way, he'll follow my orders obediently.” Almost all of the members from the Four Ancient Races fell

for James’ story.

Still, Yui remained cool-headed.

He asked calmly, “Is the Glaciem Race’s princess inside the holy land?” James responded, “Oh! That

lady? Our people rescued the Glacies’ princess in the past.

Back then, we advised her to let go of her resentments.

So, there’s nothing you need to worry about now.

The lady won’t try to exact revenge on the Four Ancient Races, nor will the people from Theognostos

try to intervene in your affairs.” Yui stepped toward James slowly and said, “I don’t care who you are or

where you come from.

The Glacies’ princess must die today.” Yui’s aura increased with each step he took.

James met his gaze.

“I was just being nice by trying to resolve the situation through a conversation first.

Did you really think we’d be too scared to take you on?” The air around them felt heavy as soon as

James finished saying that.
