With a nonchalant expression on his face, James signaled him to proceed.

A short while later, the soul contract emitted a bright light. Then, it split into three copies.

Two of those copies flew toward Perthacus and James respectively and fused into their bodies.

Then, the third copy combusted and turned into ashes.

Perthacus turned around and looked at James. “You have both skills and grit, young man. It seems

you'll help Mount Martialis rise to fame in the Beauregard Test and the Forladtt Trial.”

“The Beauregard Test and the Forladtt Trial?” James furrowed his brows. “What are those?”

“I've come here to inform you about them.” Perthacus gave a small sigh. “The leader of the Timaeus

Sect recently made an announcement. All members of the Yuraeceon Xaelm Ranks First to Seventh

Tribulation are to gather at the Beauregard ten epochs later to participate in a test. The test is an

assessment of the members’ cultivation and skills.”

James was delighted to hear the news. “We're finally having the test?”

"Don't get too excited just yet.” Perthacus’ brows lifted. “With your powers and cultivation, you are

considered an exceptional cultivator among your peers. However, we have countless talented and

skilled members in the Timaeus Sect. You must stay on your toes.”

Perthacus turned around and said in a deep voice, “Only twenty people will be allowed to

participate in the Forladtt Trial this time. I hope you can earn a spot amongst those people.”

James had heard of the Forladtt Land.

According to Truett, Thea was reincarnated at a place called Forladtt Land an epoch ago.

Upon hearing about the Forladtt Trial, James hurriedly asked, “Mr. Perthacus, what kind of place is

the Forladtt Land? Why must we pass a test first to join the Forladtt Trial?"

Perthacus explained, “The Forladtt Land is an abandoned area that's existed for quite some time. It

is also the second largest ancient battlefield across the different Genesis Worlds.

"You can find precious treasures and fortunes in the Forladtt Land. Also, a mysterious aura found in

that realm suppresses one’s cultivation.

“It is a place where light and darkness coexist. Countless high-rank beasts and monsters reside in

that area. Some people have even encountered spirit beasts on the fourth level there.”

"Spirit beasts?” James asked curiously, “Are those more powerful than other monsters and beasts?”

"Of course.” Perthacus met his gaze. “The weakest spirit beasts have powers equal to that of the

Yuraeceon Daelm Rank’s First Tribulation! These beasts are not to mess with light-heartedly.”

James gasped subconsciously. “They're that strong?”

“In the past, powerful cultivators would tame these spirit beasts and use them for traveling

purposes.” Perthacus shared what he knew about the beasts. “After that generation of cultivators

passed, the spirit beasts grew stronger under the influence of the auras and soul residues left

behind by those cultivators.”

He flashed a smile at James. “Also, every part of the spirit beasts are considered precious, especially

their cores. The spirit beasts’ cores contain tremendous amounts of Genesis Power. Even a first-

grade core is equivalent to the value of ten or more ninth-grade Yuraeceon Rank Genesis Cores

obtained from monsters.”

After listening to Perthacus’ words, James felt certain and eager to visit Forladtt Land, where Thea's
