Chapter 614
The Almighty Dragon General
âZion! What are you doing? Thereâs still so much to do, you lazy #ss!â Someone shouted at Zion.
A woman in a garish dress and heavy makeup walked up to them. When she saw Zion hanging, out
with James, she frowned. âZion, how dare you! Mixing around with shady people now, are you?
âJames, Iâd better get going. Please make yourself at home.â
Zion left apologetically.
James frowned.
Louisa looked at James disdainfully. After that, she put on her brightest smile and approached a
middleâaged man. She curled her hand around his arm intimately. âYouâre early, Mr. Williams.â
The man smacked Louisa on her rump. âItâs your grand opening. Of course Iâll be early!â âThanks, Mr.
Williams. Weâre counting on you now!â âOf course, of course!â
James frowned when he saw this.
He knew who Louisa was. She was his classmate.
Even when they were in school, she was constantly fawning over boys, often getting mixed up with bad
company.
He did not know how Zion came to marry her, but based on their interactions earlier on, he knew that
Zion had no standing in the house. Louisa called the shots.
âJames.â
Zane approached him again. James turned and looked at Zane, looking resigned. âZane, donât you
have anything better to do than to follow me around? Itâs your daughterâs birthday today, isnât it? Why
are you still here?â
âWithout you, what is there to celebrate?â Zane said morosely. âCynthia has said that if you refuse to
attend, she doesnât want a party either. James, just drop by for a moment. Wish her and you can go.â
âZane, I donât have time for this. This is my friendâs steamboat restaurant. Itâs the grand opening today.â
âIt wonât take long. Just two hours to and fro. It wouldnât delay you at all.â
âNo.â
James ignored Zane. Zane panicked.
He promised Cynthia that he will get James, but now James was flatâout refusing.
What was he to do?
Soon, Zion appeared with some stools. âTake a seat, James.â âThanks.â
James nodded and sat down.
Zion saw Zane. He said, âSir, why donât you take a seat as well?â
Zane sat down, troubled.
James started smoking as he sat in the outdoor lounge.
Soon, the masses arrived.
âLouisa, congratulations! All the best!â
âLouisa, girl! Youâre amazing! You have your own restaurant now! This must have cost you at least two
million dollars! Here, take this as a gift!â
Everyone who attended prepared invaluable gifts.
Zion greeted and served them.
However, all of them ignored him. âLouisa, I donât understand. With your looks, why did you marry
Zion? Heâs poor and not the slightest bit influential.â âYeah. When we were in school, he was useless.
Heâs still the same today.â
Some of the girls mocked Zion.
âHim?â
Louisa glanced at Zion and added fuel to the fire. âI donât want to talk about him anymore. Itâs our
restaurantâs grand opening, yet none of his friends or family are here. The only reason I married him is
that heâs an honest man. Oh no...â
Louisa looked at James, who was sitting at the entrance.
âWell, someone came. Itâs James, the sonâinâlaw of the Callahans. You know the Callahans. Now,
Thea is the genius doctor of Cansington, protected by the Black Dragon. Sheâs planning to divorce her
goodâforânothing husband James and get together with the Black Dragon.â Louisa was loud. James
heard her.
He frowned.
Bad news traveled fast. Everyone else seemed to know that Thea was planning to divorce him and get
together with the Black Dragon.
