Chapter 702
The Almighty Dragon General
Looking at the unknown men in front of the wooden house, James frowned and walked over to them.
âHalt.â
The men blocked Jamesâ path. One of them walked over to him and said coldly, âSearch him.â
James was not sure whether Thea was abducted here.He chose not to act recklessly and allowed his
enemy to search him.
James did not bring any weapons. All he brought were some silver needles and the steel wire formed
by the Crucifier.
However, all of the silver needles and even the Crucifier were confiscated.
Glancing at his enemy, he said coldly, âYou better take good care of my belongings. If even a single
silver needle is missing, Iâll tear you to pieces.â
After he said that, he entered the wooden house.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
The moment he walked in, someone clapped.
The elderly man stood up while clapping and said smilingly, âHow brave of you to con James. Iâm really
impressed.â
James saw Thea who was sitting on a chair.
She was not tied up, nor were there signs that she was assaulted. He asked, âAre you alright?â
The moment she saw James, Theaâs eyes brimmed with tears. Then, it flowed down her cheeks.
She thought James would not come.
However, he came.
At that moment, a few men walked in and aimed their firearms at Jamesâ head.
Looking at the elderly man, James smiled. âThatâs all youâve got? Are you looking down on me or are
you overestimating your strength a little?â
Reign laughed and glanced at James. âThatâs all I need to kill you. Whatâs the point of going through
the trouble of formulating plans and whatnot? After all, as long as Thea Callahan is in my hands, youâll
obey my every order.â
âIs that so?â
James smiled.
Then, he moved swiftly
The men who were pointing their firearms at him instantly collapsed to the floor.
Reign, however, remained composed. He merely took a seat and silently watched Jamesâ performance.
Clap! Clap! Clap!
He clapped once again.
âAs expected of the Black Dragon. When it comes to battle prowess, youâre simply unrivaled.â
James scrutinized Reign.
He had a bad feeling about this. He did not understand why Reign remained undaunted.
âAh!â
At that moment, Thea let loose a scream.
She fell from the chair and collapsed onto the floor groaning in pain.
James hurriedly made his way over to her and helped her up.
âIt hurts, James... It hurts...â
Clutching her head, Thea pulled at her hair nonâstop.
James swiftly grabbed her wrist and took her pulse.
Theaâs body was in perfect health. She was not poisoned.
Thea, however, was suffering excruciating pain.
James hugged Thea tightly and glared at Reign. âWhat did you do to her?â
âNothing much,â Reign spoke as if it was a matter of fact.
âThereâs a poisonous insect that I meticulously raised for thirty years inside her body. It will enter her
brain following the blood flow. Then, it will simply eat away at her medulla little by little. In the end, Iâm
afraid sheâll just become a simpleton,â he said nonchalantly.
Jamesâs face was contorted with rage.
âJames, hâhelp me... It hurts... I donât wanna die...â
Theaâs cry of anguish and every word she uttered echoed in Jamesâ ears and pulled at his heartstrings.
