Chapter 916
The Almighty Dragon General
Thea folded her arms and looked at Quincy. âI know you want to ask about the things James
mentioned. this afternoon, right? Let me make it clear to you again. Iâve no clue what he was talking
about. Iâm completely clueless, okay?â
After speaking. Thea turned and walked away.
âYouâre on point, but the more you act this way, the more suspicious you are.â Quincy murmured.
Thea ignored Quincy and walked into the elevator, heading directly to the underground parking lot. She
took out her car key and pressed the button.
A car nearby beeped a few times. Thea walked over, opened the door, and got into the car. An old
man. was already in the passenger seat.
However, Thea was immersed in her thoughts and failed to notice him. When she saw him, she jerked
and patted her chest. âWhatâre you doing, Sir Caden? Youâre always appearing out of nowhere. And
why didnât you answer the call in the afternoon?â
Thomas smiled and said, âI know that James had gone to question you and that you must be confused.
It wouldâve been hard to explain everything on the phone. Thatâs why I showed up in person.â
âWhat did you say to Tiara? Also, why did you suddenly take her away? James came to question me
today and got angry because I refused to tell him anything,â Thea questioned him.
Thomas asked, âYou didnât say anything, did you?â
Thea shook her head. âI didnât, but you should at least tell me your plans.â
Even now, she was still unaware of Thomasâ motives. However, everything Thomas had asked her to
do up until now was to help James.
The first thing he asked of her was to help James kill the Emperor. The second time was to save James
from the Johnstons. She only agreed to it since it was beneficial to James.
This time, Thomas took Tiara away.
âIsnât it good that Iâve taken Tiara away? Youâll have one less rival.â Thomas smiled.
Thea pouted. âI donât want James to misunderstand me.â
Thomas smiled and said, âYou donât have to worry. Tiaraâs fine, and Iâm keeping her safe. James seems
to be slacking off and hasnât been motivated lately, so I took her away to give him a push.â
âIs that so?â Thea looked at him doubtfully.
Thomas replied, âOf course. Do you have any idea how strong Jamesâ enemies are? How can he resort
to relying on a womanâs protection? It seems Iâll have to find a chance to kidnap Quincy tomorrow.â
âThat wonât do.â Thea immediately disapproved of his idea. âSir Caden, you shouldnât cause any more
trouble. James is already suspicious of me. If even Quincy disappears, James will be furious. I wonât be
able to explain myself if that happens.â
âThen you should also go missing too. He wonât have any trouble if there arenât any women around
him. He has already regulated his Governor Vessel, Conception Vessel, and Eight Extraordinary
Meridians. Itâll be a waste if he doesnât focus on improving his martial arts.â
Thomasâ explanation did not seem convincing enough.
âSir Caden, are you sure you did all this to motivate James?â
âCertainly!â Thomas shrugged and said, âHeâs my grandson. Why would I harm him? Whatâs the
matter? Even you are worried that Iâll harm James? Why would I have waited so long if I had ill
intentions?â
Hearing his explanation, Theaâs doubts dissipated immediately.
âI also want to help James solve these troublesome matters as soon as possible so he can retire from
his duties.â Thea sighed.
âGreat! Come with me. You shall go missing tonight.â Thomas pointed ahead and said, âLetâs go. Start
driving.â
Thea asked with a frown, âHow long do I have to do this?â
Thomas thought for a while and said, âTwo or three months? Everything should be resolved before the
new year. You can return by then.â
Thea contemplated for a while. âTwo to three months isnât very long.â
If James could strengthen himself within two to three months, he could quickly solve the problems and
retire peacefully
