CHAPTER 18

Today, Charlotte spent the night at Mew's house. The two of them had just finished dinner and were relaxing in the living room. Thinking about their wedding day in six months, Mew decided to search for a wedding theme on his phone. " Babe ? Babe ? Charlotte !? "

Mew took a deep breath before offering a apology to the woman.

" Sorry babe, I called you earlier but you still didn't answer. Who did you text with ? "

Mew asked, trying to calm down. Charlotte, who thought nothing had happened, turned her attention back to her phone.

" Oh, I'm texting with Engfa "

Charlotte replied in a calm tone. This made Mew, who initially tried to stay calm, not happy anymore. It can be said that almost every day Charlotte kept mentioning Engfa's name and that made him feel even more annoying. Charlotte also didn't spend much time with him since Engfa's presence in their lives. In fact, their wedding preparations had not been discussed for a long time and this made Mew feel challenged by Charlotte's attitude.

His gaze still on Charlotte, he tried to regain his composure.

" Babe, can you stop talking about Engfa for one day ? "

Charlotte raised her eyebrows, confused

" Why ? Everything was fine before, what's wrong ? "

" Yeah, I know, but if you talk about her every day, I'll get bored too "

Charlotte tried to show her displeasure, Mew quickly approached her

" Hmm don't say that you are jealous of Engfa ? "

" No Babe, I'm not jealous, I'm just asking you to stop talking about her, at least for a day. Plus I'm not stopping you from being friends with her, please....."

Charlotte still with the same reaction made Mew almost lose patience

" What's your problem ? If you weren't jealous, you wouldn't talk like this right ? Engfa didn't do anything to you, so please don't talk to me like this "

Mew continued to approach, wanting to reassure Charlotte that he needed her attention

" Babe... I don't want to argue with you either. I just noticed that lately you've been ignoring me a lot, you haven't tried to make preparations for our wedding. Do you know we're getting married in 6 months ? "

Charlotte said angrily. Mew next to her tried to calm her down. Mew knew that this would eventually turn into a big fight too. Mew replied, finally shedding tears, disappointed with his fiancé's attitude. He didn't know why Charlotte seemed to have changed after getting to know Engfa.
