CHAPTER 29

This weekend, Engfa and Charlotte and their friends had planned a beach trip since they had never been on a vacation together, especially for Engfa and Charlotte. Engfa had chosen the Jersey Shore and Long Branch in New Jersey for their two-day, one-night beach trip because the beach was so popular for surfing, swimming, and more. It was also only an hour from New York City. Engfa had also booked a few rooms at a hotel near the beach for her, Charlotte, and her friends.

On the way there, Engfa and Charlotte took a car ride together while Nudee, Chompu, Heidi, and Tina took Apo's car. It wasn't that the five of them didn't want to take a ride with Engfa and Charlotte, but they didn't want to disrupt their relationship since their relationship had just resumed. They wanted to give their boss some time to spend together.

Heidi and Tina suddenly brought up Engfa and Charlotte's first date last week where they were both still shocked when Charlotte told them that Engfa had gifted her a house that Charlotte had dreamed of when they were together five years ago.

" Hey guys, did you know that Engfa gifted Charlotte a house during their first date last week ? "

Heidi asked Nudee, Chompu and Apo.

" Huh, seriously ? "

Nudee asked in disbelief, as did Chompu and Apo. Apo, who was driving at the time, couldn't focus on his driving.

" Yes, that's right, Charlotte herself still couldn't believe it. She said that the gift was Engfa's promise to her when they were together. Engfa promised Charlotte that if one day she succeeds in her field, she will give Charlotte a dream house that Charlotte wants "

Tina said, supported by Heidi. Nudee, Chompu and Apo still couldn't believe it because Engfa had kept quiet after the first date that day. The three of them also didn't have time to ask Engfa because they were all busy with work, so it wasn't strange if Engfa didn't tell them anything.

Just two days before the beach trip, Engfa had invited them to have lunch together and invited them to join her beach trip with Charlotte but she didn't reveal it during their conversation.

Heidi said again, made all her friends show expressions of surprise but admiration at Engfa's loyalty, who was willing to wait for her ex-lover to come back to her.

Engfa said again but she suddenly became confused when she saw the expressions on the faces of her three friends who gave annoying expressions as if they were not satisfied with her.

" Hmm Apo, Nudee, Chompu, are you okay ? "

Engfa's question made Charlotte, Tina and Heidi also look towards them.

" Hmm, it's really heartbreaking that you kept a secret from us that you gifted Charlotte a house "

Chompu replied, followed by Apo and Nudee with sullen faces. Engfa just laughed, as did Charlotte, Heidi and Tina.

" That's why I invited you guys come here because I know Heidi and Tina will definitely tell you about this. Hmm, come on babe, I'm too lazy to deal with their behavior "

Engfa gently pulled her lover's hand and led them to their room. Heidi and Tina also made annoying faces at the three of them.

" Hmm you really like to ruin Engfa's mood, don't you ? Come on Heidi, I'm tired, let's go to our room "

Tina said and left from there. Apo, Nudee and Chompu looked at each other before pointing fingers not wanting to blame each other.

" It's your fault Chompu, you asked Engfa earlier, right ? "

Nudee pointed at Chompu but Chompu then blamed Apo

" Hey, it wasn't me, Apo caused it ! "

And this made the only man among them shocked

" Hey, why am I being blamed ? I didn't do anything. Hey !? damn I hate you both "

Nudee and Chompu just ignored the man's question and walked away leaving him.

On the beach, everyone gathered while waiting for Engfa who still hadn't appeared. Charlotte and Engfa were supposed to leave the room together but because Engfa suddenly wanted to defecate so she asked Charlotte to go first since their friends were already waiting there.

" The wind here is very refreshing "

Heidi took a breath and smiled

" Char..... where's Engfa ? We can't wait to go swimming, play surfboard "

Apo replied, a little annoyed with Engfa's attitude since their argument last morning. Charlotte tried to look for Engfa who was still nowhere to be seen, then she saw Engfa at the other end walking towards them.

" Oh that's her ! "

Charlotte replied while pointing her index finger towards Engfa. When she saw her lover, her heart beat fast when she saw Engfa wearing a long blue beach dress that almost reached the ground as she walked, had a slit on the left side revealing her long legs and her hair was half tied with a black bow.

" Wow ! she's so damn gorgeous. Is she real ? "

Charlotte whispered softly. Suddenly Heidi said while staring at them all.

" Damn..... is this just me or Engfa's aura something else "

Charlotte raised her eyebrows

" No... she was beautiful before but today she's even more beautiful. Damn, she's a goddess especially when she wears it like that "

Apo said agreed with Heidi while staring as well. Charlotte felt like she was going to explode, yes she agreed with what they said but argh they were all so annoying.

" Luckly I'm gay, otherwise I would have chased her "

Apo said again as he turned to look at Charlotte. He smiled contentedly making Charlotte feel annoying to him.

" Oh gosh Apo, you're so annoying "

The others just chuckled when they saw Charlotte's jealous face that couldn't be controlled anymore. Charlotte was about to get mad at Apo again but Engfa had already reached where they were.

" Sorry guys, I have a stomach problem today. Hmm, have you been waiting for a long time ? "

Engfa asked while looking at everyone.

" Oh it's okay babe, they're just complaining that you're always late, right Apo ? "

Charlotte replied as she continued to approach Engfa while her eyes looked at Apo while making an annoying face. Apo at that moment realized that he was being bullied by the woman and tried to gently hit Charlotte's arm until the woman hid behind her lover.

The others just laughed out loud

" Damn Char, you're so annoying. Hmm come on guys ! let's go there, I can't wait to play this surfboard anymore "

Apo replied, continued walking with the surfboard in his hand. Nudee, Chompu, Heidi and Tina ran to the beach together, laughter echoing in the air. They ran along the beach, occasionally stopping to take pictures of the amazing scenery. Engfa and Charlotte were still there, watching their friends.

" I think we had a really wonderful day with them "

Charlotte said making Engfa smile and hold her hand.

" Yes. Everything is really peaceful here. Thank you for being here with me on this trip "

Charlotte turned to Engfa, giving her a warm smile.

" Thank you also for bringing me here, let's join them "

" Let's go "

As evening began to set in and they felt they had had enough of playing, they decided to head back to the hotel. The atmosphere of the day was warm, filled with intimate conversations and laughter. Everyone felt closer than ever before from light chats to moments of peace together. They also felt that this trip was not just a vacation but an opportunity to find peace in their hearts and most importantly to share beautiful moments with each other.

" We will definitely have more trips like this, right ? "

Apo said with a bright smile as they went to the hotel.

" Definitely, today is an unforgettable day and I hope we will have more things like this "

Engfa replied. A smile appeared on her face when she saw the joy that radiated on everyone's faces including her lover. Charlotte returned the smile with a kiss on her cheek

" You are the best, babe ! "
