CHAPTER 4

Engfa slowly opened her eyes when she felt the sunlight penetrate her skin. She fell asleep on the sofa in her office for almost three hours after taking two headache pills. At first when she got to the office, she just wanted to rest for a while but because she couldn't stand the headache, she asked her personal assistant, Apo Nattawin to prepare two painkillers to relieve the pain. But did not expect that she had already fallen asleep for almost three hours.

Her eyes went wild at the behavior of her personal assistant who was opening the curtains to ensure light illuminated her office. Apo turned towards her with both arms crossed.

" Are you okay Engfa ? Still have a headache ? "

Engfa just shook her head. But her body still felt very tired, she really needed more sleep and rest.

" Did you sleep late again last night ? "

" Hmm yeah, I have a meeting with my dad, he asked me to handle a project, belonging to his friend, Mr Aus "

Apo approached Engfa while holding out a glass of water. Engfa accepted while correcting her body posture which was still leaning on the sofa.

" What project ? If it's a big project, I think it's better for you to stop accepting all projects from Mr War, just hand it over to the project manager, it will lighten your load a bit "

" Hmm I can't, Mr Aus and my dad are good friends, I've met him many times. After all, he only asked me to build his daughter's dream house, but I didn't have time to check his design yet "

Engfa quickly got up and went to the seat at her desk and began to open the dream house plan of Mr Aus' daughter. Her brows began to furrow as she felt that the sketch of the house was very familiar to her. Then she started looking at some examples of designs suggested by Mr Aus's daughter. Her heart began to pound suddenly, why the sketch of the plan and design of the house seemed to be the same as the sketch she made for her ex-lover, Charlotte Austin.

" Engfa ? "

Apo started to feel strange seeing his boss as if she was thinking about something.

" Engfa ? Engfa ?! "

" Yes ! oh sorry "

Engfa was surprised. Her dream is gone.

" What did you ask earlier ? Sorry, I was thinking about something "

" No, I just noticed you were thinking something, why ? Is there something wrong with the plan ? "

" Oh nothing, it's just that this design looks familiar, so I'm trying to think of where I've seen this sketch before. Hmm anyway Apo, can you buy me lunch ? "

Engfa tried to change the topic, she didn't want Apo to keep questioning her. After all, even though five years had passed, she still wasn't ready to tell anyone about her past, including her own personal assistant. She was also still trying to forget all her memories with Charlotte, she admits that she still hasn't been able to completely forget her ex-lover even though it's been a long time. " Don't you want to eat lunch outside ? "

" Hmm I can't, Nudee said I have a meeting with Mr Aus's daughter at 2 PM plus before the meeting, I have to review all the plans he gave me "

Apo just nodded, not wanting to argue.

" Okay fine, now it's almost 1 PM, so I better go out and buy food for you first "

After Apo's shadow disappeared, Engfa looked out of her office window for a moment to appreciate the beautiful view of New York. Her slightly confused mind began to calm down and relax. She took a deep breath before letting it out slowly. Her right hand began to touch her left chest whispered.

" Char, what do I have to do to get rid of this pain, to forget you completely ? "
