CHAPTER 5

Charlotte arrived at the War Properties Sdn Bhd company, her expression could not be hidden when she saw the area around the company. She was very excited to see the interior design, well-arranged furniture and cabinet layout and the landscaping of each area which looked very beautiful and clean. It really suits her taste. No wonder her father wanted to deal with this company, apparently her first impression was not disappointing. Immediately Charlotte felt excited to meet Ms Faa where her father had said that this person was a very skilled person. Although she had never met, she hoped that everything would go well.

Her amusement was interrupted when someone gently patted her right shoulder. A young woman appeared who was slightly shorter than her with a sweet smile still on her lips.

" Sorry, are you Ms C.A, right ? "

Ask Nudee who is the secretary of Engfa. Charlotte nodded her head.

" Hi Ms C.A, I'm Nudee, Ms Faa's secretary, are you waiting too long ? "

" Uh no no, I just arrived "

" Okay Ms C.A, can I take you to see Ms Faa ? "

" Okay sure "

Charlotte still enjoys the environment around this company, just she doesn't know why every design, every layout and every landscape reminds her of someone and that someone is Engfa Waraha, her ex-lover. She turned her gaze to Nudee who was checking something on her ipad.

" Hey Nudee, have you been working here for a long time ? "

" Hmm it's been three years Ms C.A "

" Ohh I see, so the entire interior and exterior design of this company had be done by Mr War huh ? "

" Oh no, If I'm not mistaken, when Ms Faa was appointed as CEO four years ago, all internal and external designs of the company were completely managed by her. She designed all everything "

Charlotte's face was quite impressed with the owner named FAA. She was really excited to meet the owner of the body. But she didn't to realize that this meeting would change everything.

They arrived in front of Ms Faa's office, Charlotte did not pay full attention at front the door of the owner of War Properties Sdn Bhd which displayed Ms Faa's full name Engfa Waraha because of her preoccupation with the surrounding.

Nudee knocked on the door and heard Engfa's soft voice telling her to enter.

" Ms C.A, please come in "

Charlotte eagerly entered the office.

Engfa, who was busy checking the documents on her desk, started looking towards the door, wanting to see the owner of the body. When Charlotte appeared in front of her, her body immediately became stiff and could not say anything. She was very shocked because she never thought that she would meet her ex-lover again after five years. Her heart immediately felt so painful that she had to clench both her hands to calm herself. She didn't want to look weak in front of Charlotte and she didn't want her to think that she still couldn't move on.

As for Charlotte, after she entered Engfa's office with a sweet smile on her face, she was also surprised to see the real owner behind Ms Faa's name. Her initial joy of meeting that person now turned into discomfort when the person she hoped she would never meet again was now in front of her eyes. She really wanted to pat her forehead because she was careless in not seeing Ms Faa's real name that was plastered at the door of the room.

Nudee, who felt confused by the gloomy atmosphere, began to speak

" Hmm Ms C.A ? This is Ms Faa, CEO of War Properties Sdn Bhd, and Ms Faa, this is Ms C.A, CEO of Aus Supply Sdn Bhd "

Charlotte who was still shocked, tried to act normal, she gave a small smile as she extended her hand towards Engfa to shake. Meanwhile Engfa still felt stiff, looking at Charlotte who was waiting for her to shake hands as well.

" Hi ? Nice to meet you Ms. Faa "

Engfa take a deep breath, trying to be professional, she then shook Charlotte's hand and immediately felt an electric shock upon touching her hand. She swears she misses this woman's touch on her so much.

" Nice to meet you too Ms C.A "

" Ms C.A, please have a sit. I'll make coffee first "

Nudee said as she left for a moment to make coffee for them.

Engfa's gaze was still fixed on Charlotte who was leaning on the chair in front of her. Charlotte, who felt that Engfa was still watching her, also looked at her and began to speak.

" How are you Engfa ? I didn't expect to see you again "

Charlotte's arrogant tone makes Engfa feel betrayed even more.

" As you can see Charlotte, I'm doing very well. I never thought you still dream about the house I made for you. I thought, after five years have passed, your tastes have changed "

Charlotte snickered, she was still trying to brag.

" Why ? Why can't I stay with my old taste ? For your information, this taste has existed since I was a child, not when I met you. After all, if I knew I had to deal with you, I would have refused to see you from early, just wasting my time "

Engfa chuckled even though Charlotte's words hurt a bit

" So I am, if I knew Ms C.A was you, I wouldn't want to see you either. Why would I want to waste my time on someone who has made fake promises and left me without a reasonable reason, plus there are many people who want to deal with me "

Charlotte tried to control her anger, she looked at Engfa again, not wanting to give in.

" Engfa, I don't think we need to bring old things. Five years have passed and you should have moved on. Besides, I came here to ask you to build a house for me, if you can't afford to do it, I can find someone else "

Engfa just smiled cynically, her eyes couldn't stop looking at Charlotte, she admitted that her ex-lover was getting more beautiful now, with a perfect face shape, it's hard for her not to look at her.

" If you think I can't move on, I don't have nothing say then plus I don't have a problem if you want me to build a house for you. I just hope you can be professional and don't let go of any problem easily like you did to me before "

Charlotte finally couldn't control her anger and tried to answer Engfa's accusations but before she could do so, Nudee went back into the room to bring coffee before leaving again. Engfa quickly got up and went to the couch, holding the drawing plan and design of the woman's dream house.

" Come here Charlotte, we'll talk here, it's more comfortable "

Charlotte just watched Engfa go to the couch. Her heart beat faster when she saw the woman walking there, with a charming face with simple make-up, stylish in luxurious clothes made her feel weak to see the woman. So it is not strange if she was crazy about Engfa before. She was very beautiful indeed. She started heading there and took a sip of coffee to calm herself down a bit. Her eyes looked back at Engfa who was opening the drawing plan in front of her.

" Okay Charlotte, according to the plan, there are five rooms in total, one master bedroom, one your parents' room and three more guest rooms. Is that right ? "

" Yes, that's right, but I think I want to add two more rooms to this space "

Charlotte suggested, her index finger pointing to two areas that wanted more space.

" So you want to change this garden area to add two rooms ? Why do you need to add another room Charlotte ? "

Engfa waited for the answer that came out of Charlotte's mouth. Even though it's been five years, she still know Charlotte's taste, this girl doesn't like a house with many rooms. Because during their studied before, Charlotte always complained about her house having too many rooms, causing her maids always tired because they had to clean every room every day.

Before Charlotte could answer, her phone rang with the name of the caller.

" My Love Mew 💗 "

Engfa managed to see the name of the caller before she returned to looking at the sketch plan. Now she realized that Charlotte really had moved on. Charlotte has found her replacement. Although it was bitter to swallow but she had to accept it. There was no bond between her and Charlotte anymore.

Charlotte who began to notice Engfa's discomfort quickly answered the call. She knew Engfa noticed the caller's name.

" Hey you, what's up ? "

" Hey babe, I just wanted to remind you about our dinner tonight, I'm worried you forgot "

" Oh, don't worry. I didn't forget babe, I'll see you tonight okay "

" Okay baby, I'll pick you up later okay, bye ! I love you ! "

" Okay bye, love you too "

The call was immediately turned off by Charlotte, she turned to Engfa who did not respond. Both of her eyes were still focused on the plan on the table. Charlotte tried to speak but no words came out of her mouth. She didn't even know why her mouth were feel heavy to speak. End up she just watched Engfa who was just giving full focus to the drawing plan.

Engfa, who realized that they had both been silent for almost 20 minutes, finally spoke up.

" Charlotte, I think I have to review this plan. So are there any other additions you want besides the room ? If there are no additions, I think our meeting ends here. Any changes or meetings for site visits later, I will ask Nudee to contact you, okay ? "

Charlotte just nodded her head without said anything. She didn't know why she felt so guilty. Yes, she and Engfa have moved on but her instincts were strong saying that she had hurt Engfa again. She lowered her head, feeling a little disappointed then quickly got up and headed for the door.

Before she left, she stopped for a moment and said.

" Engfa, I know five years ago I said that I didn't want us to meet again but I hope we can cooperate for each other for now, okay ? "

The woman flashed a sweet smile before leaving.

Engfa who was still leaning on the couch let out a heavy breath. She desperately hoped that her ex-lover would not realize her disappointment. It's not that she doesn't move on, but she still needs a real explanation from Charlotte. But looking at Charlotte's current state, this woman was already happy with her partner "Mew" so she probably doesn't need to ask for more explanations.
