Chapter 12
After Reborn, I Become a Billionaire
Michelle was frightened by Rogerâs aggressiveness.
She quickly protected Hannah.
Hannahâs look turned a little gloomy.
Seeing Roger going to land a slap on her face, she straightaway took out her phone and yelled at him, âIf you dare lay a finger on me, Iâll definitely take you to court! And I mean it!â
Rogerâs hand stopped in the air.
âIâm taking the video, do you still want to beat me?â Hannah asked him.
Roger was so enraged that his body was trembling, yet he did not land his slap.
âDad.â Wayne hurriedly held him back. âDonât argue with this slut, she could be arrogant now, but sheâll suffer from her bad karma one day.â
Roger put down his hand hard.
He bawled at Hannah, âOne day, you and your family would be doomed.â
That was in her previous life.
In this life, no one could harm her family.
Hannah held her motherâs hand and straightaway left the Cooper Residence.
She left without care after making everyone in the old mansion go berserk.
âWhen had that brat become so eloquent now?â Esther was bursting with anger too when she saw Hannahâs complacent look.
âYou shut up!â Lorie finally exploded. She shouted right in her eldest daughter-in-lawâs face, âYou idiot! youâve truly disappointed me for spending effort on you all these years!â
Esther was baffled by her scolding.
She had been helping her scolding Hannah all the time, when had she offended her?
She felt extremely unhappy.
Roger was bursting with rage and he shouted at her, âYou really canât do anything right. My mother has cared about that sapphire for so long and because of you, Hannah has taken it back! Look how useless you are!â
â...â Estherâs face flushed due to the humiliation.
She never thought that she had fallen into Hannahâs trap with just a few words.
That bitch.
She swore to torture her to death one day.
âTo be honest, itâs actually quite easy to deal with Hannah,â Mary suddenly spoke. Her voice was soft and anyone would think she was completely harmless, obedient and lovely.
âWhat good ideas could you possibly have?â Lorie glimpsed at her with contempt.
With Maryâs background, she was even worse than Hannah, and Lorie had never treated her nicely.
âThe things that make Hannah so proud are her father inheriting the family business and her marriage with Charles. If the marriage is gone, she would not be so reckless anymore.â
âAnyone with a brain could figure that out.â Esther was in a rage and she could not help but snap when Mary spoke.
Mary said, âMy point is, if Janeâs been with Charles, thereâs nothing Hannah could do.â
Esther was startled.
Jane who was sitting beside looked up too.
She did not speak, but she did have that thought in mind too.
She should be the heir of the Cooper family, but how could Hannah steal all her limelight? Even the best man in Northfield became hers. She felt indignant about that.
âThereâs still one month left until the wedding. As long as we stop Hannah from getting married to Charles, she would not dare to act so boldly anymore!â
âEasy for you to say, canât you tell how much Charles likes Hannah?â Jane could not help but tease.
âItâs indeed not easy to make Charles fall in love with you in just a month, but...â Mary stopped and there seemed to be something she could not say.
âYou got something to say, out with it. Given birth by an underclass as expected.â
âJane!â Roger pulled down his face.
Jane rolled her eyes.
That little slut had managed to win her fatherâs heart.
âIâm afraid that youâll go upset if I say it.â Mary refused to say on purpose.
âI wonât be happy for anything you say, but Iâll be unhappier if you donât! Say it!â Jane bawled with impatience.
Mary glanced at her father and after seeing his encouraging eyes, she said with caution, âIt will be easy if you sleep Charles.â
Everyone looked at Mary.
Mary was slightly embarrassed from their attention and she hurriedly explained, âThatâs just my idea, if itâs inappropriate, pretend I didnât say that. I didnât mean any harm. Itâs just that I donât want to see granny, daddy, mommy and my siblings being bullied by Hannah like that. I was just...â
As she spoke, the rim of her eyes went red again and she looked fragile and pitiful, afraid of being scolded.
âEnough, stop crying would you. People would think the Coopers has been treating you badly.â Esther saw her look like an eyesore.
Mary wept and tried her best not to let out any sound.
âAlright, weâll talk about Hannah and Charlesâs marriage afterwards. Iâve had a bellyful of anger today and I want to rest now. Roger, take me to the room,â Lorie summoned Roger.
Roger quickly agreed.
He knew well that his mother must have agreed to Maryâs suggestion and she wanted to discuss it with him. Or else, Mary would have been bombarded with criticisms for whatever she said with her status.
After Lorie and Roger left, Jane could not help but mock Mary, âYouâre despicable as expected with all those underhand tricks. Were they all thought of by your deceased mother? Tell me, how many men have you slept?â
âNo, Jane, I was just, I was really saying that for your own good...â The rim of Maryâs eyes went red again and she looked terribly aggrieved.
Jane only left after she gave another curse.
Wayne and Esther were certainly disdainful of her and they left straight after her. Mary was left alone in the spacious main house.
Mary naturally did not have to pretend to be pitiful anymore when there was no one around.
She let out a grim smile.
She knew very well that the Coopers would definitely adopt her suggestion, and she certainly was not as kind as to how she pretended to be. She was waiting for Jane to doom herself so she could take over her place naturally.
She would then replace Hannah and become the real, only mistress of the Cooper family!
...
Meanwhile, Hannah and her mother were heading home while sitting inside their car.
Michelle only then stopped her heart from racing and regained her composure in the car.
She was slightly excited. âHannah, how, how could you be that...brilliant today? Youâve truly impressed me.â
Hannah chuckled. âMom, I wonât let granny bully you anymore in the future.â
âBut...how could you be that bold to argue with your grandma? Youâve even made your grandmaâs face go pale.â
âThatâs because grannyâs being too harsh,â Hannah said, âmom, donât you obey any moral principles anymore, granny doesnât deserve you respecting her.â
You respected her, but she had tried all means to harm you!
âAlthough your grandma was indeed a little harsh to me, sheâs your fatherâs mother, after all, I canât give your father trouble.â
âDonât worry, I just want to make granny not dare to do anything to you, I wonât...â I wonât really take her life away!
But it would be under one condition, that is, Lorie learns when to give up.
If she was still reluctant to repent, donât blame her for punishing her without caring that she was her grandma!
