Chapter 19
After Reborn, I Become a Billionaire
Hannah left the Emperor Club.
Just as she was about to get into her car to go back home, a thought struck her suddenly. She fished out her phone and dialed a number.
The call connected in no time.
The other end was bustling with noise.
âHannah, why are you calling me at this hour?â Susanâs somewhat excited voice came from the other end.
She was probably at the climax of his drinking.
âWhere are you now?â Hannah asked.
âIâm at a club!â
âEmperor Club?â
âHow do you know that?â
âIâm just at the entrance. Come out now.â
âWhy did you come here?â The voice on the other end immediately exploded with rage.
Hannah had never come to a nightclub.
âCome out and weâll talk.â Hannah didnât feel like explaining on the phone.
Susan emerged from the club seemingly in a rush after the phone was hung up not long.
She really saw Hannahâs figure at the entrance. She was waiting there.
âDid you really come here to just see me?â Susan felt incredulous.
âGo back with me now.â Hannah immediately stated her intention.
âNo way! You canât imagine how much fun Iâm having now. How can I leave now?â Susan sounded extremely reluctant.
âI have some business with you.â
âAnd what is that?â
âWeâll talk in the car.â Hannah then stepped into her car without warning.
Susan was really reluctant.
However, she was used to listening to Hannah ever since their childhood days. In the end, she ended up following her albeit with a pout on her lips.
Hannah instructed the driver to head to the Phillipsâ villa.
Then, she revealed what she had come to say, âMy motherâs birthday is in half a month.â
âWhat about it?â
âBy that time, all the big four families of the higher echelon of society would get an invitation for the party.â
âSo...?â Susan was still in the dark as to what Hannah was trying to say.
It was a birthday party by the elders. Shouldnât such a matter have nothing to do with her?
As the younger generation, all they were tasked with was to dress up impeccably and make an appearance at the party.
âIn the party, at around 10, you have to take the initiative and invite all the younger generation of the four families to have a drink at the Emperor Club?â
âWhy do I need to do that?â Susan probed.
âYou can say that it has been a while since everyone has gathered, so they canât miss the chance to catch up.â Hannah was obviously providing her with excuses.
âHannah, what are you trying to do here?â
âIn the list of invitees, you must make sure that Jane, Mary and Charles are included.â Hannah added thoughtfully.
âHannah! I am really angry now!â Susan was flaming up.
Some random words had been spoken, and she couldnât understand them at all.
Hannah ignored Susanâs outburst of emotion, âJust do like what Iâve said. The rest are not important.â
âYou are really going to enrage and suffocate me.â Susan was fuming now.
âDonât tell anyone about this.â Hannah didnât forget to put in one last reminder.
âYou must be crazy!â Susan felt like she could no longer talk normally to Hannah at the moment.
Hannah didnât seem to be in the mood to elaborate too.
From the look of things now, nobody would believe her no matter how much she said.
The car slowly rolled into the Phillipsâ villa and stopped just at the main door.
Susan was on the verge of crying, âI still want to have some more fun at the nightclub!â
Hannah opened the car door and dragged Susan out of the car.
âBe a good girl. Go home now.â Hannah pulled Susan all the way to the main entrance of her villa.
This was her second chance at life.
She really feared that Susan would repeat the same mistakes as last time.
âYes.â Susan looked completely unhappy.
It was only ten now. All the while she only ended up back home after midnight.
âArenât you afraid that Manuel would come back and snatch away your inheritance? From now on, you should frequent the nightclub less ad go to work in your company more.â Hannah put in some words of advice.
When Susan heard the mention of Manuelâs name, her face immediately changed.
She retorted, âDonât ever bring up that name in front of me, alright? You would make me lose sleep.â
âHeâs just living under the same roof as you.â Hannah splashed some cold water in response.
â...That is why I want to run away from home!â Susan was very indignant.
Hannah frowned.
âI want to move out and stay together with Henry.â Susan sounded excited when she described her plan.
âNo way in hell!â Hannah cut her short.
Susan was on the brink of breaking down, âHannah, just what is wrong with you now? Ever since returning from the Mount Northfield, you have been acting strange. Do you want me to find a sorcerer to check on you to see whether you have offended some foul spirits?â
âI am just fine.â
âThatâs great, then. So why are you locking horns with me in everything?â Susan sounded devastated, âYou were never like this.â
This was because she was oblivious to everything.
This was precisely the reason she kept making the same mistakes.
Hannah cut her short again, âSusan, how are things with you and Henry at this stage?â
âWhy are you suddenly asking about this?â Susan had a shy expression on her face which was a rare occurrence.
âWe have made a promise when we were kids. We promised each other to tell each other about our first night and first kiss. Are you going to hide things from me now?â Hannah showed dissatisfaction.
Susan had never been able to refuse anything from Hannah, and she didnât know whether it had something to do with the fact that Hannah was six months elder than her. She addressed Hannah as her elder sister since she was young, and it had become something natural to her ever since, and she inadvertently always listened to her no matter what.
She replied, âWe did kiss. What do you expect?â
âDid you guys sleep together?â Hannah was sure of this.
âI want that to happen too, but Henry is quite traditional in terms of his thinking. You also know that heâs an orphan who is a little insecure. I thought that me being brash would scare him.â
âAlright then.â Hannah nodded.
âWhat do you mean, alright then?â Susan was really tired of Hannahâs nagging.
âAnyway, you canât sleep with him before you marry him.â
âWhat about you?â Susan retorted.
Hannah always criticized her, so how was her relationship with Charles now?
Hannah hesitated.
At that moment, while faced with Susanâs counterattack, she felt a little befuddled and perplexed.
Based on the normal timeline, she didnât lose her virginity yet.
She remembered losing her virginity during the first night of her marriage.
She thought that it was the best present from her for Charles.
In this lifetime, she would never allow Charles to touch her even once.
âDonât tell me youâve slept with Charles!â Susan appeared very shaken when she noticed that Hannah was silent for some time.
âI didnât.â Hannah refuted.
âOh. I thought that you guys are sleeping together. But seeing that Charles is so noble and gentle, I canât imagine him having premarital sex.â Susan muttered.
Her opinion of Charles was a good one.
Not only Susan, the whole of Kensbury City thought that Charles was the best gentleman in the world.
He was loyal, ambitious, gentle and classy...
A man who appeared so perfect would be a sight to behold the moment his disguise was forcibly removed!
âEnough. You should go back and rest now.â Hannah urged her.
Susan reluctantly entered the villa through the huge entrance.
Hannah saw that she finally disappeared into her villa, so she turned around and was about to leave in her car too.
At that moment, not far away, a familiar male voice sounded, âHannah.â
Hannah froze.
She turned around and saw that Manuel was emerging from the darkness.

He was Susanâs stepbrother, and he was just six months older than her. His birthday was just a few days away from Hannahâs, and he was a little elder compared to Hannah.
The three of them practically grew up together.
No matter how much hatred Susan had for Manuel, the moment he became part of the Phillips family since she was eight, she couldnât avoid living her life with Manuel being part of it.
Furthermore, they were always together since their primary school days and only until their university years that Manuel had gone overseas for his studies.
But now, he was back!
