Chapter 112: Disturbing Your ‘Good’ Business

She could not bring herself to admit in front of him that she hoped he wouldn’t leave tonight.

This way, they could properly ‘nurture their feelings’. After all, he was now deeply engraved in her heart. She dearly wished to make up for what she owed him in her previous life.

He held her in his arms and sighed. His cold, heavy voice contained heartache. “Fang Xinxin, for the past few years, you haven’t been living well.”

“Silly girl!” He pressed a kiss to her forehead and continued speaking with eyes full of self-reproach. “Your family abused you to this extent, yet I was completely unaware of it. I’m a failure as your fiancé!”

She leaned her head against his shoulder and spoke softly to him. “This isn’t your fault. You’re already very good.”

All of this was because she once loved the wrong man, Bai Chenxi, and was blinded by him.

The people in the Fang family didn’t have a conscience. Did they even count as her family?

His heart trembled, and he swore viciously. “In the future, I won’t let you come to any harm!”

“Bai Qinghao, it sure is good to be your fiancée.” She smiled in contentment.

“It’s good that you know this. In the future, I won’t allow you to escape again.” He watched her smile. Although her face was covered in acne and she was overweight, strangely, no matter how he looked at her, she was extremely pleasing to his eyes.

“En.” She nodded seriously.

He held her waist with one hand and lifted her chin with his other. Although her lips were bare of any gloss or lipstick, they were a vibrant pink colour. His gaze reflected his amorous feelings.

He was always uninterested in women, yet, whenever he saw her, she would easily hold onto his heart.

He was about to kiss her when Long Shuhai appeared outside the partially ajar door. He cried out loudly. “CEO Bai!”

Bai Qinghao’s ‘good business’ was ruthlessly disrupted. He turned his sharp, unhappy gaze onto him. “What is it?”

Long Shuhai’s legs trembled. He was frightened to death, but still thickened his skin to ask him. “Uh, is it suitable to arrange for your bodyguards and chauffeur to stay on the second floor in the rooms around the corner?”

“It’s fine.” His cold and stern voice contained a hint of rage building up.

“All right, I’ll go arrange the rooms now.” He knew that he had come at the wrong time, and was frightened to the point of trembling.

“Close the door.”

“Yes, sir.” Long Shuhai closed the door and turned to leave. But his heart remained wary. He was scared that CEO Bai would have his bodyguards shoot him down.

Bai Qinghao finally managed to capture Fang Xinxin’s lips.

In less than two minutes, a commotion could be heard outside the door again.

Bai Qinghao did not respond. However, the knocks only became more frantic and louder.

“CEO Bai, CEO Bai, are you there?” Fang Manxue called from outside.

Fang Xinxin pushed Bai Qinghao away.

“...it’s too loud.”

Bai Qinghao held Fang Xinxin’s waist and opened the door. He could barely conceal his anger and asked her. “What is so urgent?”

Fang Manxue held a tray in her hands. There was a glass of milk, a plate of steak and a bowl of noodles in it. “CEO Bai, have you had supper? It’s already so late in the night. I’m sure you’re hungry. I personally prepared supper for you...”

“No need!” His expression was dark and smoke was coming out of his ears.

Fang Manxue had learned from Long Shuhai that Fang Xinxin was alone with Bai Qinghao in the room. She wanted to give the dumb woman two tight slaps in a fit of anger.

She actually dared to have thoughts about her man!

Yet, she could not do anything in front of Bai Qinghao. Otherwise, she would only bring more harm to the Fang Group.
