Fang Xinxin held some regret about her previous attitude towards her study. “I can still retake those classes, can’t I? It wasn’t easy for me to get into the best university in the country. Unless there’s absolutely no choice, I won’t want to drop out. I seek your understanding on this, Teacher Dong.”

Several other teachers in the office also spoke up. “Teacher Dong, these matters can be slowly discussed. It isn’t a good idea to recommend a student to drop out so easily.”

Outside the office door, a crowd of students stood by the ajar door and windows.

Clearly, everyone was very curious about Fang Xinxin’s matters.

After all, she was always the topic of some of the best gossip matters in school. Everyone wanted to be the first to hear this.

Dong Yuzhu noticed her colleagues’ disapproval and immediately became enraged. “All of you, don’t look as though I’m bullying my student. Perhaps the other students had fought to be here with their own hardwork and effort. However, with Fang Xinxin’s grades, she was never eligible to be in Jing Hua University. Her high school grades were a disaster. She paid a dirty price in order to be standing here right now!”

“Wa...” The students in the crowded hallway were astonished.

Even the teachers in the office were confused.

Jiang Xingnan was similarly ‘paying attention’ outside the office door. Yu Liang asked him in confusion. “Brother Nan, what dirty price did Fang Xinxin pay? Could it be, with your father...”

“What nonsense are you spouting?” Jiang Xingnan glared at him. “Jing Hua University isn’t a place you can get in with money alone. Even if some woman did sleep with my father, it doesn’t mean she will be able to study here. Jiang Xingnan shrugged and said, “Don’t ask me. If Fang Xinxin’s grades did not make her eligible for Jing Hua University, I have no idea how she made it in. I’ve always found that Fattie to be an eyesore. If I had known the reason, I would already have let it out of the bag. Would I have waited till now?”

Everyone acknowledged that Jiang Xingnan’s words seemed to be true.

If Fang Xinxin had performed poorly, how did she come to be in Jing Hua University? Everyone’s curiosity was roused.

Fang Xinxin sighed internally.

This situation was identical to that of her previous life.

Dong Yuzhu was similarly urging her to drop out whilst all her classmates watched the commotion outside.

She had secretly gotten close with many different rich men in hopes of becoming a rich lady, but was always abandoned in the end.

With the passing of time, her heart became twisted. She despised all ugly matters for how they reminded her of herself.

If things panned out as they did in her past life, Fang Xinxin would follow Teacher Dong’s suggestion and leave the office crying. Soon after, rumours of her being a kept woman would spread across the entire school.

Everyone would then assume that she was a cheap wench being raised by an old man.

Fang Xinxin’s expression was indifferent and she responded calmly. “In that case, Teacher Dong, please specify the so-called dirty price that I paid.”

Teacher Dong stared at her in disbelief. “Fang Xinxin, you’re truly shameless. In that case, don’t blame me for not saving you any face!”

“Get straight to the point.”

“What’s with your attitude?” Dong Yuzhu was enraged. “Is this the attitude you should have when you speak to a teacher? How were you brought up?”

“You carelessly slandered me and claimed that I paid a ‘dirty’ price for getting admission here. The harm you’ve done to my reputation is irreparable. Looking at your conduct, do you think you are qualified to question me on upbringing?”
