Chapter 444: Supporting Chenxi and Manxue
Rebirth: Pampered Wife’s Counterattack
The woman instantly had the feeling that if she did not leave now, she would lose her life here.
She was frightened into hastily picking up her clothes. She covered her nude figure carelessly and began putting her clothes on whilst running out the room. Within a few moments, she was gone.
Bai Qinghao had seen through the entire situation. His frigid, sharp gaze landed on Bai Chenxi. âSo you assumed that the woman earlier was Fang Xinxin. Your guts arenât small. You actually dared to have thoughts about Fang Xinxin!â
âI absolutely wouldnât dare...â Bai Chenxi immediately knelt on the bed.
He did not pause to care for his image as he began kowtowing to plead for mercy. âCousin, please let me off! I was wrong, I was really wrong!â
Bai Qinghao glanced at his pitiful, naked figure as he grovelled for forgiveness. A hint of disdain appeared in his distant, cold eyes. âEven killing you would dirty my hands!â
Bai Chenxi immediately cried with his nose dripping. âThank you for your mercy, Cousin. I was really seduced by Fang Xinxin. If you donât believe me, please look. These are the messages she sent me!â
He rolled off the bed and searched through the scattered clothes on the floor for his phone. There were several messages from Fang Xinxinâs number. In the messages, she disdained Bai Qinghao and professed her love for Bai Chenxi. She also asked him to meet her in room 615 in this hotel.
Bai Qinghao scanned the messages coldly. His jaw was clenched tightly and his figure was surrounded by a dark, enraged aura.
Based on his intelligence, he naturally believed that these messages did not come from Fang Xinxin herself.
What made him angry was that someone had intentionally schemed for Fang Xinxin to lose her body to Bai Chenxi. This could not be forgiven!n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Fang Manxue was about to shout, âGood!â in response to Bai Chenxiâs actions.
She was certain that Bai Qinghao would assume Fang Xinxin was a fickle woman after reading these messages. Even if she had escaped this scheme and Bai Chenxi had not managed to touch her, her image in Bai Qinghaoâs mind would definitely be affected.
Before she could say anything to exaggerate the situation, Bai Qinghaoâs frigid cold gaze landed on her. âWhy have you been standing outside the room? Did you know that the room has been drugged?â
Fang Manxue had been worried that if she inhaled the drugs and Bai Qinghao refused to touch her, she would have to look for some other man to resolve the problem. Wouldnât that be a significant loss for her?
She did not mind sleeping with other men secretly. However, she absolutely could not allow Bai Qinghao to know about it.
Otherwise, how was she supposed to climb onto the seat of Madam Bai? Bai Chenxi was considered an outsider in the Bai family and was not even worthy of being called âCEO Baiâ. Even if he had a wife, the woman would never be known as âMadam Baiâ.
In the Bai family, Bai Qinghaoâs wife was the only person who had the right to be addressed as âMadam Baiâ.
âOf course not.â Fang Manxue appeared shy. âEarlier, Bai Chenxi was in the middle of doing that... As a girl, and as a virgin, it was too embarrassing for me. I didnât dare to enter.â
Her tone then changed and her expression appeared especially pitiful. âHow could I have known that the room was drugged? Youâve misunderstood me!â
âIs that so?â The corner of Bai Qinghaoâs lips twitched upwards cruelly. âWas it also a coincidence that you were waiting for me outside the hotel?â
âI was shopping nearby and coincidentally met you.â Fang Manxue lifted the shopping bag in her hand. âHere are the new clothes I bought earlier. When I saw you entering the hotel... as you know well enough, I have strong feelings for you. Iâve loved you deeply since I was young. I saw that your expression wasnât good and that you appeared to be in a rush. I only followed you out of curiosity.â
The cold mocking light in Bai Qinghaoâs expression worsened. His eyes were as sharp as a pair of knives. âYou sure arenât shy about using an excuse that would only fool a three years old.â
âI really didnât lie to you.â Fang Manxue appeared as though she was on the verge of crying in grievance. âI was just curious...â
