Chapter 584: The Buried Truth
Rebirth: Pampered Wife’s Counterattack
âEnough.â Fang Xinxin patiently announced the end of their act. âWhat fart of a Second Uncle are you, âLong Shuhaiâ? I should be addressing you as Yang Xueyao, shouldnât I?â
She brought out a stack of documents with a passport photo attached to the very first page, and slammed it on the coffee table.
The passport photo was of Long Shuhaiâs face, however the photo was a black and white shot taken more than ten years ago.
âLet me tell you a story.â Fang Xinxin began indifferently. âMany years ago, a couple named Fang Huaitian and Zhao Yun gave birth to a beautiful pair of twin girls. They named them Fang Lilan and Fang Liyin. Since young, Lilan was sensible and thoughtful. Her younger sister, Fang Liyin, however, was always disobedient. During her school days, she smoked, drank, fought and even caused trouble outside. Eventually, when she turned fifteen, she eloped with a gangster named Yang Xueyao. Due to this matter, Fang Huaitian and his wife were angered to the point where they disowned their daughter, Liyin. Five years later, Fang Lilan turned twenty-five and she married Long Yifan. They both adopted a boy named Fang Shaohua. As for Fang Liyin, she did not have a good life after eloping. She wrote letters on multiple occasions to her elder sister seeking help. Her sister naturally lent her money behind their parentsâ backs. In the fifth year of her marriage, Fang Lilan was pregnant. Unfortunately, it was a stillbirth.â
Fang Xinxin then brought an old hospital document out and placed it on the table. âThese are the records from Fang Lilanâs hospital visit that year.â
She paused for a moment before continuing. âFang Lilan was heartbroken over this. At the same time, her younger sister and Yang Xueyao had a daughter. Unfortunately, the two of them barely had enough money for themselves. How could they possibly raise a child? Thus, Fang Liyin sent her daughter to her elder sister for adoption.â
She had heard her elder brother, Fang Shaohua, mention this in the past. Her mother had indeed been pregnant that year. This was also why both of them had never suspected Fang Manxueâs background.
Fang Xinxinâs gaze shifted onto Fang Manxue, who appeared as pale as a sheet of paper. âFang Lilan named her young sisterâs daughter Fang Manxue. Ever since then, Second Sister, you became my parentsâ child and led a blissful life.â
Fang Manxue fell down on the ground. âHow did you find out about this? How...â
Fang Xinxin paid no attention to her and continued. âMy parents have never lied to you about your birth. Thus, you always knew that you were not my parentsâ biological daughter. In fact, you even met Fang Liyin and Yang Xueyao secretly on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, my elder brother and I did not know of this. Our parents were worried that we wouldnât treat you well if we knew about this. Thus, they kept this truth from us. In fact, among all of us, you received the best treatment in the Fang home.â
âEnough!â Fang Manxue raised her voice. âWhat do you mean by the best treatment? Since Fang Lilan claimed she would treat me as her birth daughter, why did she still give birth to you!â
âFang Lilanâ tried to stop her immediately. âManxue, what are you talking about?â
But Fang Manxue could no longer control herself. âMom, Fang Xinxin clearly already knows everything. Whatâs the point in denying this any longer?â
When âFang Lilanâ heard this, her legs weakened and she nearly fell down.
âThatâs right, at this point, whatâs the use in trying to lie?â Fang Xinxin had a faint smile on her lips. âWhy werenât my parents allowed to give birth to me? Fang Shaohua is an adopted child. Fang Manxue, you also werenât their own child. My parents loved each other dearly and they only gave birth to me as a representation of their love. Were they out of line in doing so?â
Fang Manxue had no way of refuting this.
