A large Chinese-style round table was placed in the centre of the dining room. A rotating tray was placed on top of it with various exquisite-looking dishes.

A lot of thought had also been placed in their seating arrangement. Elder Bai Chongshan took his seat first. Bai Hong and his wife then took their seats by his side. Next, Bai Qinghao, Huang Zhishu and Bai Jingrou took their seats.

Fang Xinxin deliberated over her own seat as she watched them. However, Bai Qinghao had already tugged the chair next to his. “Xinxin, sit here.”

She obediently took the seat he offered.

Bai Jingrou was coincidentally seated directly across from her.

Bai Chongshan glanced at Bai Jingrou and Fang Xinxin’s clothes with an insightful gaze. He then spoke to Bai Jingrou with some unhappiness. “Jingrou, pay attention to what you wear in the future. He was used to this. He tugged his chair back to sit by Bai Jingrou’s side. “Cousin informed the entire Bai family to be present at lunch. I couldn’t possibly be absent for this.”
