Chapter 654 - Haunted Apartment

She glanced at Tong Yu and Liu Ling. After checking that the two of them did not appear to be mocking them, she felt slightly better.

With Tong Yu around, it was unlikely that she would obtain any useful materials to use against Fang Xinxin.

Bai Jingrou turned without saying a word and quickly left the room. Bai Chenxi also did not wish to remain in this haunted house any longer. He said apologetically, “Xinxin, my sister is young and immature. Don’t mind her.”

He left hurriedly soon after.

Fang Xinxin laughed. His sister was young… Bai Jingrou was three years older than her!

After viewing the apartment, Fang Xinxin, Liu Ling and Tong Yu headed downstairs together and found Bai Chenxi and his sister waiting by the car downstairs.

“You guys are still here?” Liu Ling asked out of politeness. “I wonder if Miss Bai and Mr. Bai have taken a liking to the haunted… the house you saw earlier?”

“That building is so run down and the apartment is so creepy. Just entering the place alone will cause us misfortune. I won’t take it even if you give it to me for free!” Bai Jingrou complained in disdain.

“You think too much.” Liu Ling mocked her internally. Even if the apartment was going for one third the market price, it was still worth eight hundred thousand dollars.

Gifting an eight hundred thousand dollars apartment to her? What a joke.

However, she did not express her feelings on the surface.

Bai Chenxi’s gaze shifted onto Fang Xinxin. “If it wasn’t to accompany Xinxin, I wouldn’t have stepped into a haunted house.”

“Is that so?” Liu Ling did not say more. These wealthy young people were used to luxury. From the beginning, she had no intention of bringing them along. It was them who had insisted on coming here.

“Miss Fang, I’ll bring your car over from the carpark. Please wait for a moment.” Tong Yu waited for Fang Xinxin’s nod before he turned to head across the road.

Fang Xinxin stood in place waiting for him.

“Xinxin, you’re not taking the property agent’s car back?” Bai Chenxi tried to make conversation with her.

She did not respond.

“Will you be viewing more apartments?” Bai Chenxi asked again.

But she remained indifferent to him.

Bai Chenxi took this in and decided to head to the stall by the roadside to purchase a few bottles of mineral bottle. He handed them to Bai Jingrou and Liu Ling.

After the two of them thanked him, he then offered a bottle to Fang Xinxin. “You must be thirsty. Have some water?”

Fang Xinxin did not receive it. Instead, she headed to the stall to buy a bottle of water for herself.

A moment later, Tong Yu parked the Aston Martin by the roadside to wait for her.

Bai Chenxi waited for Fang Xinxin in surprise. “Aren’t you leaving?”

A man around the age of forty to fifty then ran over in a hurry. “My apologies, Property Agent Lu, I’m late.” He immediately handed his apartment ownership documents and identity card over to her.

Liu Ling brought out the empty apartment sale contract which she had prepared beforehand. She rested it on the car boot and filled it in according to the details on his identity card. She then showed it to him for confirmation.

The middle-aged man signed the documents before Fang Xinxin was offered the paper to sign as well.

After watching her sign her name, the middle-aged man sighed in relief. “After listing it for sale for so many years, I’ve finally managed to sell this haunted apartment.”

Liu Ling spoke up. “Mr. Yu, Miss Fang Xinxin is very busy. She intends to make the full payment at once. Since the contract has been signed, let’s go and complete the transfer of ownership.”

“No problem.” The middle-aged named Yu nodded his head.

Bai Jingrou finally understood the matter. “Fang Xinxin, you really bought the haunted house?”

“That’s right.” Fang Xinxin waved her hand. “Earlier, I told Liu Ling to ask you guys beforehand. You guys said you didn’t want it, so I bought it.”

“Your brain… Did water go into your brain? Do you not have enough things to buy?” Bai Jingrou smiled mockingly. “There’s no way you’ll be able to sell this apartment in future.”
