Fang Xinxin was rather moved by the way Grandfather Bai affectionately addressed her as ‘Little girl’. “En.”

Bai Chongshan appeared unmoved by this knowledge. Bai Jingrou did not expect him to be indifferent. Still, she stubbornly continued. “The red packets and a bloody apartment are both red. I wonder if the two conflicting reds will bring about misfortune. Is Fang Xinxin trying to ruin the Bai family’s luck?”

“What nonsense are you spouting!” Bai Chongshan raised his voice sternly. “Xinxin isn’t someone like that.”

Fang Xinxin raised her brows. “Bai Jingrou, did you go insane just because you failed to perform better than me and couldn’t enter the Sheng Shi Group? You sure dare to run your mouth as you please. I am Madam Bai. The better the Bai family’s luck, the better my life will be. How could I possibly ruin the Bai family’s luck?”

Bai Chongshan cut her off. “Apologise to your cousin-in-law right now! Otherwise, you can scram out of the Bai family immediately.”

“Apologise!” Elder Bai Chongshan’s wrinkled face was especially stern.
